What do you think of the style where pants are worn low so that box shorts underneath are seen? Is it "cool"?

I am from an older generation and am sincerely trying to understand this new fashion.

I think it's gross, but I have heard of progress. I live close to the Texas Louisiana  border, and in LA there is a fine if you are caught with your pants too low. It;s called indecent exposure.  With every state would enforce it.

For me, only if they aren't too low. An inch or two I find attractive on a man, because that's enough to see the rim of his boxers and the make of the boxers (Eg; Calvin Klein).

But some men I look at and I think 'Have you seen yourself?' because they're so low they look like they could drop to their ankles at any second and you can see at least half of their boxers.

And you have to leave a little to the imagination.

But girl's who do so and let men see their thong's I think are a little cheap. I'm sure most men wouldn't complain though.

My parent's fail to understand this too.

It's out.  It's been out for about five years, only no one seems to realize it.  They just keep wearing their jeans like that, and the downward spiral just goes on and on... = )

Okay I don't mind if their pants are that low if the have a big shirt on that covers them up.I'm kinda used to it bc my brother and a lot of boys in my school wear their pants low,but they have those huge shirts so it doesn't matter (and its funny when they try to run or go up stairs with they pants all low) but if I can see their underwear then it's just like eewwww

LOL...sometimes I think you and I think alike - lol!

I'm still young (and holding...lol...), but I never understood this style either...in school, on the street whatever - never thought it was attrctive or cool in any way...to me it says ' I am so poor that I had to wear hand-me-downs that didn't fit' - sad really. Even some girls have this same type of style...some switch it up a bit with a g-string showing instead of boxers...again - not in the least attractive - sleezy maybe but not pretty!

i don't get it either...I hate to wear pants that are sooooo big and loose that I literally have to hold them up with my hand while walking (and some do!) - ridiculous and not at all comfortable or appropriate...maybe if they sat on their butts so people wouldn't have to see them or so they wouldn't have to hold up their pants all day - then maybe it wouldn't be so bad....who knows?

Don't get me wrong - I like my clothes to fit comfortably and even baggy on occasions...but not falling off! It's strange to me as well...and I don't find it attractive which can be difficult when those types approah you to ask you on a date.....No.....just because I wouldn't want to be concerned with their pants all evening! LOL!

No offense to anyone - to each their own! Just wanted to leave my opinion on the subject and hope to find some that can give some insight into this trend - just curious as well, I guess! ;)

well...um....i think it's cool when people "sag"but i don't think it's cool when older people are doing that.....that is my opinion....as long as the people have boxers on then yeah i think it is fine...

Ummm...this style would no longer be considered new---the boys have been wearing it for years now.

If anything I think it has gotten a whole lot better.  Meaning the boys don't wear the pants as low as they used to and they have the oversized shirts so you don't see too much.

As for my opinion...it all depends on the age of the person wearing it.  If they are teenagers then it's cute.  If they are 30 then I think they look ridiculous!

Well, my teenage cousins wear they're pants down a lot, honestly.. I don't know whats so cool about it. For me it's a way of showing what's on your boxers. All you do is pull up your pants all day. It's personally annoying and I'm a guy.. If you do wear it like that, you're probably just trying to fit in the "cool people section when in in fact, girls are looking at you saying "Laughs", he has Family Guy boxers! Making you almost a weirdo to them..

guys wear it all the time but it would be a liitle weird for a girl to do it and like evry dude i know does it and thats like everone in my school so yeah i would think its cool even some of my teachers do it but thats ewww

I'm 14 and I think that lowriding, the style you are referring to which has the technical name, sagging, is nasty. All the guys (and some of the girls) in our school do it. I mean, the style originated from prison inmates. Yeah, that's something really cool to copy. Ew.

I thought those were out long time ago. I find them hideous and I love fashion. I don't think you can really call those type of clothes anything related to "fashion"

Ok if you mean just the elastic part is showing - I think it's sloppy.  If you mean the entire bum basically I was told this started in men's prison and means "Open for business".  I think it's sad that kids are following this fashion not even realizing where it came from.

it depends, if the boxers are nice and clean  and the person has a nice pinch-able a** then they are kinda cool, in a scruffy messy way. if they have a big fat a** and dirty boxers its not cool at all

im in this generation unfortunatly...anyway i tried it once at home i thought i looked like a r****d..i saw a bunch of older kids near my school showing there polka-dot boxers and my mom got angry and called the cops for disturbing the peace (PWNT) and i laughed and said way to go mom ;D...if u c any1 u kno doin tht there jus a wannabe gangster...

I don't really like it, I mean guys low riding there jeans a bit is ok - I don't really pay much attention, but some take it way to far and there whole *** is hanging out. And they all seem to have like simpsons underwear or something lol, I don't want to see it.
