What do you think of the supplemental fuel charge for carnival?

I can't believe that it went from 5 buck a day to 9 dollars a day in the matter of two months. I just came off a cruise late April and we only paid $5 a day. Now it 9. What do you think?

Have you seen what the price of oil has done in the same 2 months?  There is a fuel surcharge in every mode of the transportation industry. In trucking it goes up as the price per gallon goes up. Cruise Ships go up as the price per barrel of oil goes up.  Airlines just raise the ticket price.  It is not something that is fun to watch...but it is necessary to the travel industry to keep up with sky rocketing fuel prices.

***I think they ought to just increase the price of the cruise rather than tack on fuel charge.  They're never going to take it off anyway.  I do know that fuel has increased for everyone including cruise lines, airlines, etc., but why play games with wording?  Just increase the price of the cruise and get it over with!

Cruise lines, etc., will use any excuse to get more $$$$!
