  1. The UN is melting pot of tyrants and despots who routinely punish their "subjects" for the slightest infraction, going even so far as GENOCIDE, while the member nations stand by and watch the horror, The UN is trying right now to usurp the power of the US Constitution by ratifying a world wide "treaty" to ban all civilian gun ownership, including the US CITIZEN, this way only the gov'ts will be armed and the UN can bring about ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT and the sec. gen. would have ultimate power and "we the people" would no longer be free!!!!!!

The US needs to GET OUT of the UN now before it's too late.

Bill Clinton wants to be the US ambassador to the UN so he can attempt to become the sec. gen. and have ultimate power and get his willy wet on all 7 continents!!(LOL)

We should pull out of the UN and evict the lot of the shores of our GREAT NATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. No.  It is a waste, a shambles and a fraud.

  3. I am Frank and find the united nations quite frankly a waste of time.

  4. You  want frankness ok we would be right in the mire without it

And millions more kids around the world would die premeturly with out the WHO, a branch of the UN as is another worthwhile organisation for refugees run by the UN

  5. Lol can someone tell me what Frank means x]

  6. The UN is the biggest waste of time and money.  They are more corrupt than almost any form of government in the world.

Oil for food ring a bell?  That is just one example.  The security council is a joke.  Nobody abides by their resolutions, NOBODY.  This is due to the fact that they are worthless and weak, nothing gets enforced.  N. Korea, Iraq, Iran, multiple african nations, all just give the UN Sec. Council the finger and nothing happens.  They just move on to the next problem in the world and pass more resolutions.

  7. There doesn't seem much point if the United Nations are not United!  All should be United in one common interest in saving our world, and preventing, damage, destruction and poisoning.  The common goal being survival - I wonder why man cannot be United on this matter.

If it cannot be united - then it should be renamed = Each country spends its own money on it or not.

  8. It seems like a big dreamers club to me. Whats the point in passing resolutions if they don't follow up ?

Like if your parents say "dont do **************** or we'll *********** , then instead of ************* they give you a tenner .

I think an urgent review of their principals is needed, and they need to put up or p*** off in future !

  9. It's a corrupt, ineffectual disaster.I'd pull out and not come back until they straighten out.

  10. Pretty good.  As much as people like to complain, they do some really good things.  We are better with it than without it.

  11. Waste of space and how do I get a well paying job with them.

  12. The UN has failed time and time again.  When an event like the genocide of a whole nation occurs it takes the UN much too long to respond.  They are too afraid to hurt anyones feelings.  Thats why most of the world is put out with the United States.  We have had the honor of having presidents who aren't scared to rattle some cages and get the job done.  The problem is with world opinion and the media.  The United States is not a bully.  We are the country that stands up to the bully's of the world and I'm glad that some presidents we've had don't give a rats *** what the rest of the world thought.  Sometimes you just have to do the right thing regardless of what everyone else thinks.

  13. You want me to be frank? OK, you asked for it.

The UN is a cesspool of festering **** that serves no useful purpose today, even if it did at one time. They money we spend on it is either wasted in bureaucracy or goes into the coffers of nations that hate us via development programs. It did nothing with Rwanda was experiencing a genocide in 1994, and it still drags it feet today with Sudan. It kicked out a valuable US ally (Taiwan) in favor of a vicious dictatorship (China). It's security council is dominated by developed countries, 2 of which are dictatorships (Russia and China) that provide poor nations (especially African ones) with little say. It is very anti-Semitic, always voting against Israel but staying silent in the face of Palestinian terrorism. They even recognized the infamous terrorist Yasser Arafat as a legitimate leader! The human rights council is a joke (it has Cuba on it!) and we should take our money and invest it in something useful, like the Community of Democracies (a relatively new organization of democratic states) or N.A.T.O. We should then call in the parking tickets of UN diplomats, make a ton of money, and then kick them all out of the US. We could then use the buildings as shelters for the poor and homeless. That would be the best thing to do. Then again, investing our money in pet monkies would be better than spending it on the UN.

  14. Think it is a waste. Past few years has proven it to be as corrupt as any other organization. Not sure what can be done because I really don't see all of us ever getting along.

  15. The UN was founded by the Communist supported Council on Foreign Relations. I wouldn't give them a dime. I am ashamed that I raised money for them when I was a kid through UNICEF.

What would I do? I think the Muslums should do a terrorist attack on the UN headquarters.

  16. Part of me says it is a waste of time and money and part of me says that without it we would have been involved in a full scale war by now. I think on balance I'm glad we have it but only just

  17. The UN is a corrupt alliance between the strong countries.  Some times they help with insignificant matters.  They are just as bad as The WHO, WTA, Codex Alimentarus, and global trade organizations and agreements like the NAFTA AND CAFTA.  All for one one for all, they all are for the profit period.  We are insignificant to them so long as we continue to give our money to them.

  18. But if we get stuck, it is where we to turn to for the better or worse.

  19. Hello Pat, my darling! How's about giving Mr Butcher some of that lovely UN lovin'.

    G-g-g-g-g-GO!

RIP Mike Reid! (aka Frank Butcher)

  20. no, but if continued move to another country and let them pay for it, and have all the troubles

  21. The United Nations is a noble concept, but it is totally lost in today's world. This is why the US and Britain do thing's alone, the UN simply doesn't work there is to much politics involved to get any thing positive achieved !! :)

  22. Since its all been said I'll keep it light.

The UN is a waste of U.S. dollars and we should pull out.  Even the nations that it was built to defend against have folded or changed.

  23. Probably not if you look at the actual benefits it's brought, it's always going to be difficult to get loads of different nations to agree with each other on anything, but at least it gets them talking to each other.

  24. Well her we go...it started with of course the League of Nations...so totally destined to failure..then along comes the edifice on the Hudson, I believe,...also destined for failure...as long as there is no equality of all nations and the war mongers have final say then yes it is a disaster waiting to happen..a very expensive one at that and of course the US is still behind millions if not billions in support payments..ok,,now, the Hopi Indian Prophecy says, and you know I like what it says, is that there are 4 groups ...one in charge each of earth, wind, fire and water..the North American Indians are the earth and until they are included as a equal, any attempt at world peace is not possible...so, I hope I have it  all right since it has been a long time since I read the prophesy but you can find it in search if you are interested....there, a totally different perspective

  25. The credibility and work of the UN is being rubbed in the dirt by GW Bush and his cronies for disagreeing with him and failing to support him with the whole Iraq business.

Hey guess what? The UN was right all along as well!

... and how telling that the global (only) centre of anti UN sentiment is the USA.

  26. The UN has been a failure....but one has to admit that it has succeeded in some fronts...better have the a largely inept UN than having nothing..."A bird in hand is worth two in the bush"

  27. How can I be Frank?

    Frank's dead!

  28. ok i'll be Frank

    who are you Gonna Be

  29. it sucks big time. it is left powerless whenever Mr. Bush or any north american president/Govt imposes their will. instead of banning cuba, why not ban the USA

  30. You made an interesting point there - "the money spent on it". I think you've highlighted a fundamental dificiency of the organisation, in that due to the limited funding, resources, political will etc. directed towards the organisation, the UN is often perceived as a failure.

I think it's important to consider that whilst ongoing disputes continue, the UN has been vastly successful in preventing the onset of global conflict, which was a goal of it's creation in those early year preceeding WWII.

Any failures/dificiencies of the organisation (and I'm not suggesting there is a shortage of these), can be attributed to a failure of its member states - i.e. "we, the peoples of the united nations".

  31. Overhead.
