What do you think of the whole John Edwards sexual affair?

Personally, I think it was a d**k move by him. He knew that his wife was battling cancer, and instead of being by her, he goes and knocks it up with another woman. Yes, maybe i'm looking too much into this, but really, it was still a d**k move by him.

  1. It is always shocking to me that a person with so much promise elects to kill off his or her career by doing something inappropriate and not very rewarding in the long run. Was having a few sexual encounters for a few years really worth it? Why not rent porno flicks or fantasize. Wanting something and not getting it can be a terrific turn-on. I think it shows poor impulse control, bad judgment and a lack of empathy and concern for others, specifically, his family and the Democratic party.

  2. I never trust a cheater or a habitual liar. Edwards seems to fit in both categories. Adultery is immoral. Not all guys succumb to this immoral behavior. Cheating on one's mate is a breach of trust. Nevertheless, I was not surprised to hear about Edwards' behavior. I usually do not trust politicians. They are a particularly sleazy lot.

  3. I am very disappointed in him.  But , I don't think a person's sexual life is cause to deny him a government position.  He is still very qualified to represent the poor and middle-class Americans.

I would qualify my first sentence to add  "unless he is a confirmed rapist and advocates violence against women".

  4. Why does anyone care?  It's a private personal matter.

I haven't shaved my legs in 5 days.  Do people want to voice an opinion on that?

  5. I don't.  Of course its never a good thing to cheat on your partner but Edwards isn't a public official and he's not running for office. Its a personal issue for him and his wife to work through.

  6. Just another idiotic man who couldn't keep his d**k in his pants.  It makes me sick to my stomach.

This is a well educated, well connected, wealthy man who could have the world at his feet but let his little head rule his life.  Stupid stupid man.

  7. I'm really bothered by the fact that he did this during his campaign!  He had to know that reporters would be everywhere and he didn't give a d**n.  That's not chutzpah, that's a false sense of entitlement.

I'm also thinking that this woman was not the first.

  8. I'd be willing to bet all the other politicians have had affairs. Look at a lot of public figures, including the ministries.  Even actors and actresss in the public eye have had affairs.  They are kept quiet or some will leak to the press.  Look at Clinton, Gary Condit, JFK, Ronald Regan to name a few.  They all have done it.  There are a lot more.  This shouldn't be surprising.  (The fact she got pregnant is surprising.)

  9. Not that relevant now, but if McCain wins Edwards has no chance of running again

EDIT** To PEACE YO.. you should shave your legs before going to the beach...unles you WANT to scare kids

  10. He was lonely. She said 'yes'.

  11. he just blew any chance at atty general or high ranking office, non issue in politics, but man i feel for his wife. he did all this after the cancer became an issue.  he showed so little class. this is what we would have gotten in washington had he been appointed or elected. dodged the bullet on this one i guess.

  12. I could care less about the affair.  Now I know why he was such jackass at all those debates and took it out on my girl Hillary.

  13. I totally agree with you. I really liked him but having a affair while your wife has cancer is low. A affair is bad enough but that was a d**k move as you put it.

  14. I've always wondered how much hairspray he uses.

  15. Marcia, Jon Edwards is a public official. Senator Edwards ring a bell?  I think it was low of him to cheat on his spouse.  Especially, due to the fact that she had cancer.  I really believe that his family needs to address this matter privately. However, I think he wanted to be in public service so his personal matters will be publicized heavily.

    Dave

  16. I think who he sleeps with is no more my business than what brand of boxers he wears. That is a private matter between him and his family. Everyone makes mistakes, except you I'm sure. And he claims his wife was in remission. Since I wasn't there I can't say she wasn't.

Peace Yo hugs Tibet-I want to comment:

    I bet that's d**n s**y!

  17. I don't really give a toss.  Dudes need to bang, plain and simple.
