Okay, I have recently been doing some photography around the village I live in. I was wondering whether you think my pictures are good or not?

Does anyone have any photography tips?

  1. yeah you seem to have a talent for it i like the first one the best

  2. I think there quite good. I liked the one of the ipod and the ones of fields.

Hmm...Don't think you need any tips but keep practising (as in taking pictures) and see where it will get you (:

  3. For a start, I think you have too many here.

Some of them, are very good. Some people will shudder at lens flare etc, but sometimes it works. The shot of the grass in the foreground, with the field behind, would have been better with less DoF, shot at f4, or f5.6, so as to blur the background.

Try and keep the 'horizon' level. In one of your pics, there is a tree line, and it is slanting.

Have a look at http://www.redbubble.com/ where you can learn a lot, get feedback, ask questions etc. It is FREE. If you do, message me, and I will send you a link to my page.

Good luck, and keep at it.

  4. You have some good pictures here. I like most of them. But you must watch out for ‘Lens Flare’ when taking photographs towards the sun, and also look out for bright reflections off of glass, paint etc. Unless you are trying for the special effects side of photography!

  5. For extreme close-ups (the flowers) you need something called a macro lens so you can get the shots in focus.  For the other pictures, make sure your viewer can tell what it's a picture of--that is, what's the main subject?  Is it the people, car, etc., in the center, or are they merely incidental to the photograph?  Those pictures are okay, but they are not great from a "professional" standpoint.  I'd suggest you get some books from your local library or bookstore about photography that will help you improve your technique.  You could also join a photography club or enroll in a photography class.  Keep on going, and enjoy!

  6. The majority of the top ones are good, the others just look like pictures of random c**p.

  7. I like the bench and tire one behind the fence.

  8. It looks like you are having fun! If you want to improve a class or camera club would be helpful. You need to investigate what makes a good composition. Keep shooting!

  9. The first bunch of pictures were slightly out of focus, but as for composition not bad at all. The second batch are good, not blurry. Some have digital noise that make it seem dark. They are those little dark specks you see, like black pepper sprinkled on. That can be removed with a noise remover. If you have a photo editing program, check to see if you have a remover. If not, you can download a free noise remover. One of them is called Noise Ninja. Last but not least don't get discourage, just keep on clicking.

  10. I think you have a good eye for composition.  I would recommend enrolling on a few photography courses, and learning how to use Photoshop Elements.

Check out my brothers website - www.sixthsensephotography.co.uk.  He is still an amateur but has just immersed himself in learning everything he can about photography.  You never stop learning!!
