  1. Skunk Anansie- A multiracial quartet formed in Britain, Skunk Anansie plays what its lead singer, Skin, calls C**t-rock -- an amalgam of heavy metal and black feminist rage.

As for what appears to be names your wanting to pick for your band? Millions of Dead Kittens is a good one; could bring light to the fact that over a million cats are killed every year because they don't have a home.

There is already a band named Sepsis; http://www.myspace.com/sepsisband

S**t Worship would that be with the !? I think your safe either way... However I can't imagine going to pay money to see S**t Worship?

I also think your safe with Donkey Show; maybe you could tour with Donkey Punch?

  2. They all sound like the names of groups of middle classed white kids screaming about how they were all oppressed and neglected because daddy didn't love them enough.

Oh wait, so feminists aren't the only ones complaining? Gee willackers, Batman!

  3. Piñata Beehive

  4. I think "Jesus Stole My Bike" has a nice ring to it...as for your suggestions, not bad.

  5. Millions of Dead Kittens is the best.

The feminist will attack and protest your band and provide you with plenty of free publicity.

  6. I think those names are funny...and interesting for band's names.

"Also, has there ever been a feminist heavy metal band?" - I don't know. There could have been a HEAVY femminist metal band, but I m not sure.

  7. There used to be a punk band once upon a time called Hitler's Missing t******e.

Here's a fun article called "Smokin' in the Grrrrls Room: Feminism and c**k Rock."

  8. the donkey show is the best out of all of them. and yes im pretty sure there has been

  9. -Millions of Dead Kittens: Mean person...I had a dream about kittens last night.

    -Sepsis: Blood Infection

    -S**t Worship: Really bad band

-The Donkey Show: Someone with a fascination of donkeys.

Also, has there ever been a feminist heavy metal band?: Rio, Mystery Meat and Tracey have a Rock Band.....I think that Tracey is the screamer.

  10. Those are all good, but none of them beat Chocolate Bunnies From h**l (an actual band). I know of an all-female heavy metal band (Kittie), but there's no evidence that they're feminists.

  11. I like Sepsis and The donkey show. Feminist heavy metal?? Vixen, Girlschool. would Lita ford count, she was kinda heavy metal for a minute or two??

  12. I like "Shotgun Suicide"

    Boxershorts Bacon Strips

and my fave...Me2...( like u2 only hipper and more egocentric)

  13. it's not that I get offended, I just don't understand why ppl want to go around being known by sadistic names.  I knew a guy that played in a band called the "Homolka's", which came from the last name of a woman who helped her husband murder and rape her younger sister and her sister's friend.  That's just overly disrespectful and rude to those who are still dealing with it, but the guys in the band thought it was an awesome name.  Another band name I've heard - hymen smashers - is disrespectful and crude.  Band names like that may be original but they're not really creative and they make the people in the bands sound like idiots.

For the names listed here, they're not as bad as they could be, but they're not really that good either.  But that's my opinion

  14. There was this chick band in the 90s, effed if I can remember their name, the 90s are a bit of a blur for me.

s**t worship is the best of the four in my opinion.

I just got what Donkey Show means, Donkey show 1st, s**t Worship 2nd.

    lolam

  15. I think those names are terrible, horrible.

There are a handful of good all-female metal bands but I'm sure that none of them are feminists: Gallhammer, Kittie, Astarte...
