  1. They are both amazingly gorgeous.

The first horse is a beautiful mover and the second one looks like a good jumping prospect obviously.

Both would be great whichever one you choose.

I would go with the first one. But that's just me because I love Thoroughbreds and their levels.

  2. They are both Wonderful horses. But i think that the 2nd one is a better deal.  but it all depends on what you want and which one is more sutible for you.

  3. I think they are both great horses. They look well worth the money. I would say to ride them both because one may look perfect, but as soon as you ride it it becomes a totally different horse. You also may find one that fits you better than the other. Keep in mind what one you look better with.

    Good luck,

    HJB

  4. They both look beautiful, happy, and contented, and I think they would be great at showing

  5. Both of these horses are gorgeous, but I would go with the first one. She looks absolutely beautiful!!! She seems to have great conformation. I definitely think she is worth the money!!! :) I would not say that the second one is worth it. He doesn't seem as fancy. Good luck with whatever you choose!! :)

  6. I love the thoroughbred, because it is tall and is flashy. Remember, thoroughbreds are bred to jump, do dressage and for speed. Yes thoroughbreds do have lots of energy but I have ridden quite a few really good jumpers. I own a thoroughbred and she was a fabulous jumper an very good at dressage. i have also taught her trail, huntseat and showmanship.  So thouroughbreds are a overall good shortshorse.

The paint is pretty too and looks to be very talented.  Also paints are very versatile so if you want to try something new you could train alongside her.  She also looks like a fast learner and a horse that wouldn't spook very easily( judging from how well she did with that water jump for the first time).  Her jumping looks great too.

These horses are both in great shape and both look talented. But if i were you I would ride both of them at least 5-6 times so I get to know them and see if they are the right horse for me. i once bought a horse without ever riding him first, and he was too much for me to handle. My current horse I took lessons on for about 2 months before I bought her and she's been great. Make sure you pick the horse that is right for you and that you feel comfortable on.  Make sure you ride both of these horses more than once, because people can drug horses and when you have the horse at home they  could be wild. Also you might want to show up a few times unexpected to see if the horse acts any differently than the time you were expected. Buying a horse is a really big deal and I hope that you find that one these horses is perfect for you! Good Luck!

  7. Both great for showing. I still think 1 needs to grow her main out. 2 is awesome!

  8. No jumping pics, no conformation pics, no video? I can't comment on horse #1, though I like the look of her.

Horse #2 - cute. Not fancy though, and not a great mover. For that price, if I was looking for a hunter, I would expect a decent mover with a nicer jump, and for that part of Michigan, I would expect to be able to do ok on the "B" circuit. From what I saw, thats not a "B" horse.

I don't know a thing about eventing though, and she looked quite capable. I guess if I was looking for an eventer, I'd pick her.

  9. They both are very pretty mares.

The TB is lacking in her neck, and it's a little short, but her conformation is near perfect. She's very pretty though! I love bays! She's four though, so, she's pretty young still. I think she may be a tad over-priced, but she may have nice lineage. If you want a greener horse that you can train and build up to bigger shows, then this is probably your horse.

It's hard to tell the Paint's conformation, I'm sure it's fine. Paints make excellent, steady, bold jumpers - my friend has one, and he's wonderful. She looks more seasoned in a variety of disciplines and is older, certainly more worth the 11k. She's your ready to show and go type of horse.

You're looking at two different horses. The TB is likely to be more sensitive to the aids, and certainly have more energy.  Despite the comments made that the Paint is 'light and responsive' Paints are known to be very laid-back and quiet by nature under saddle.

  10. 1st horse looks great. I'd get the 1st one.

  11. Horse number one has great porportions, and has amazing muscle structure, but he is only four years old, so he has much more training to do before he is ready for serious showing unless you plan on showing in the green classes and i think since he is so young is is too expensive, but if you are doing dressage i think its worth it, because he would be an awesome dressage horse. Plus he's very tall and still growing.

Horse number two, first of all, is gorgeous! I adore paints, and 7 years old is a good round about age since their still fresh, but still have enough experience. He has a great jump and has alot of training. He does eventing, therefore he is an all around horse, and has been to many shows and placed very well, and is a great mover as seen in the video.

Deffinately go for the second horse if your looking to show, the other one needs many more years to come close to the second horse. God i want her! Good luck!

  12. The paint seems like the better option because she's done way more.

The first one doesn't look like it has ever set a foot outside and arena! Plus its a thoroughbred and they have the tendancy to have a lot of energy!!

  13. i'd go the bay it's much flashier and paints don't place as well in hacking and dressage due to their broken color. and the TB is way better

  14. i think they both look well built for showing.*both gorgous* there builds are both beautiful. i like the bays comformation he seems more stout.

  15. I am in England so my advice is

    buy  horse 2.....because

horse 1 is common in england and much to expencive.

    hope this helps

  16. Horse Number 2 looks bueatiful and talented.

Horse Number 1 looks like a great horse too.

But I would go with #2 and dont buy #1 look into diffrent horses if you want to buy a 2nd horse

  17. I think both of the horses are very nice. But I also think that you should go to see the horses, and see what their personalities are like. For for how they are built, I think I like the way the bay is build! Both of them are gorgeous though!

    Good luck!

  18. I'm very fond of paints.  This paint is gorgeous, but they both are really

  19. Okay horse number 1 is very fancy and has a great confirmation. She is on the younger side, and does lack experience.

Now horse number 2 has an above average confirmation. This horse is young, but does have experience at a show on her side. She has a bouncy jump, and lots of enthuasiam.

If your looking for a horse that is young but with experience and not very Green, then i think you should go test ride horse #2. But always keep your eyes open... great horses come all the time.

    =)

  20. WOW they R so preaty but I like #2 it is very diffrent which is what makes it so cool

  21. i say horse number 2 it is older and has more experince. Also horse # 1 has a weird shaped necck and a high but. I say #2

  22. It really depends on actually seeing the horses and what you want to do with them, what level you're showing at, etc.  If the horses don't have the right temperament for you as an individual, then they aren't right for you no matter how wonderful they look.  Knowing where you are as a rider is important in this - do you tend to have a "hot seat" that motivates horses more easily than calming them?  etc.  I would definitely bring your trainer with you when evaluating these horses!  Both horses are decent looking - would probably do very well at local shows or lower levels, but not as much at the national/higher levels.

    As for conformation/pricing of each:

The bay has a course head and a short thin neck - these would make it harder for her to naturally flex at the poll and balance herself while going at speed.  I can't tell if the standing shot is just posed at an awkward angle or if the mare is a bit post-legged and camped out in the hind end.  Her pictures may show some impulsion and elasticity, but these qualities are difficult to accurately assess in photographs.  Her price is a little high from the pictures and page alone, but she may have a stellar pedigree and the price is high due to potential breeding profits later on, or maybe she has just awesome gaits and the web page plays down her talents and experience.  The page has very little to go on, so I'd ask for a video before deciding to visit.

The paint mare doesn't have any close ups for a conformation evaluation, but she looks like a decent ride for the short video clip.  She may be a bit long in the barrel, but it's probably an optical illusion due to her white stockings.  The YouTube links show a horse who isn't being challenged on the jumper course, so she's not showing any real effort or bascule over the fences.  I'd have your trainer try her over higher fences to see the height helps her out.  Her rider makes her look easy to rate and ride, but her strides seem a bit choppy - could be the rider, could be the horse.  She's a cute little flashy girl and is fairly consistent throughout the videos.  Personally, I think her price is a bit too high for what's shown, but it's more important to test her yourself.  Her experience and mind may be what's driving up the price, and again, that's something to see on the test ride.  If you have concerns about judge prejudice at shows, it's something to consider, but if you're good enough, it doesn't matter what the color of the horse is.  Just be prepared for snarky comments from the people you beat! :)

  23. both look pretty nice. The second one isn't as fit for hunters and i think they are asking too much. I can't really tell its comformation but the first one has good comformation. I don't know what disipline you want to do so it is hard to tell
