  1. I have a male friend with a black sedan, a female friend with a blue sedan, and I'm waiting for my blue hatchback to come in.

I'm partial to the hatchback because of how versatile it is, but I mainly see guys driving them.  I see an equal mix of men and women in the sedans on the road.  I don't think the Mazda3 is "guy car", but it's not a "girl car" either.

The Mazda3 is a terrific car.  I test drove the Subaru Impreza wagon, the Toyota Matrix, the Hyundai Elantra, the Nissan Versa, etc. and nothing could compare to the handling and design of the Mazda3.  You won't be disappointed in it.

  2. My daughter purchased a 2004 Mazda 3 with a V6 about 2 years ago. She has put about 50,000 miles on the car.

It is a very stylish car and is very fun to drive. I am well over 6 feet tall and fit comfortably in the car. It has excellent room in the front and rear. The engine has tremendous power since it is a V6 with double over head cams. The inside is well laid out and has stereo functions within the steering wheel so you don't have to take your eyes off the road.

On the negative side, the car cracked both exhaust manifolds at about 45,000 miles. I was able to take both off and weld them. Otherwise she was looking at close to $1500 in parts to replace them. It has also developed strange quirks with the digital display for the climate control. About half of the LED numbers have gone out twice. The first time, the car was under warranty. This time it isn't. You cant read most of the display.

But all in all she has been very pleased with the car. And I actually like it too.

  3. The links you gave don't work for me, but I actually just bought a Mazda 3 today. They're rated very highly by Consumer Reports, U.S. News, etc., and I found it drove much better than the Toyota Matrix, which was the other car I considered. Additionally, I think the interior of the 3 is really well-done for a car of its class.

  4. links you gave dont work but the mazda 3 is a good car, its not as good as a civic or corolla but its a good reliable car that will last you a while..

mr double r, the mazda 3 never came with a v6 engine.. it comes with a inline 4 cylinder engine so i dont know what your talking about..
