  1. they are really good! =] nice job and keep snapping those pictures!

  2. Very nice. I love the color punch of the basket in the kittty/basket pic. very nice saturation there. i like the look of the subject in the first pic, very thoughtful. in the last pic you mispelled "Cigarette" and you should shave off about 5% on the right side of the pic in crop.

    but very nice work.

as a side note. dont let other peoples opinion of your stuff detour you. in fact, try not to let it affect you at all. Shoot because you love to shoot, and enjoy it. Don't do it to get other people to say something. The best pictures are the ones that make them say nothing at all.

  3. I like the last 2 very much (cute cat!)!  I am not too crazy about the first one, but the second one is ok.

  4. they are soooo nice....

you are really a good photographer...

I like your photo from cat so much...

    be continue

  5. I think that the last one is your best one, but the cat is really cute.

  6. the last 2 are amazing:)

i really like the last one though:)

photos like that should be entered into a contest.

i mean, i love how you cant see his face, only his hat.

the whole black and white thing makes it even better.

    greatjob:)

  7. Your exposure looks pretty good.  The first shot has some lens flare, but I'm not sure if it was purposeful or not.  I sorta like the look as well.

I'm not 100% crazy about the sepia-toned look on #1 and #4, but that's more of my own personal preference more than anything else.  Once you've printed shots in the darkroom and actually used sepia toning, it's easy to get spoiled.

Compositionally, I noticed that your pictures are somewhat center-heavy.  For #4, Man Lighting a Cigarette, the center weight seems to work.  Remember, the Rule of Thirds is just a guideline, not a hard Rule.  The trick is figuring out when to ignore it and when not to.

The shots do seem to all be shot from the same standing perspective.  Play around some.  Shoot while crouching, shoot while on top of something...  You seem to have a decent amount of control over your camera - from here in it's both the most fun and longest part.  Refining your style.
