This tape is 6 minutes long and has a really good EVP in it.

  1. It's amazing!

  2. That sounds more like a real voice than many EVPs I've heard. But always the problem with EVPs, even with groups like TAPS, is the controls they used. I didn't see what kind of recorder they used, digital or tape -- was it a fresh tape? Was there anything on the reverse side? We don't know. Was the recorder picking up RF interference? We don't know. Was there a conversation in the other room being amplified by the ductwork? We don't know. Were the show producers messing with Grant & Jason to generate some excitement? We don't know.

There is a host of problems in collecting EVP and these are only a few, and for these reasons I don't find it compelling.

EDIT: Deenie, I always talk like a scientist. I am one. I think it's simply that you don't like to hear the boring explanations, facts and figures (which I provide in every answer, for example, the Russian rocket video question you posted), which usually are not nearly as exciting as paranormal ideas.

  3. That is an example of a Class A EVP.  you are able to hear and understand what was recorded, with no problem.

I have really begun to think more and more about what is known as overlapping dimensions with that particular EVP.  It is  obvious that there is a lady there with Jay and Grant who can hear then, yet is unable to see them.  I believe the same when the first EVP was recorded with Steve and Tango.  You can plainly hear her talking but she does not seem to be aware that they are there physically.  In that case you might could argue that it is a residual haunt, but she is plainly interacting  as well.

I think it might be one of the finest examples of an EVP and I would like to see the team return for another hunt...possibly one of their always interesting Halloween specials.
