"Where thou art, that is home" (Emily Dickinson)

Poetry is amazing, giving us words for things we can sometimes not express ourselves...I would like to hear what other people think of this particular quote....How do you read it? What feelings or emotions does it conjure up for you?

  1. It means to me, where you are

    is home.

    Check out my blog.

  2. its a good quote becasue its implying that the art we have as in ( things we create that we like and are to our taste and imagination. also the art that allows us to express our emotion links beautifully to the use of " that is home" becasue it is saying that home is an art thats what we create and where we can use our imaginatiion is like our home that we can express how we feel with decoration and they way our homes are...

    i love that quote :)

  3. yea that's a good quote, a shame though that her poetry is terrible, i think in her case, her legend overshadows the quality of her actual output, the same with Poe and Plath. All three are medicore poets.

    Good quote though.

  4. Home is where the heart is.

  5. It's a bit like "where ever you go, there you are!" ...nah just kidding.

I think Kim K has it right: "Home is where the heart is".or where ever we long to be that is where we would feel the most comfortable and safe. That is home!
