I was wanting to buy one of these and put the r6 tail on it. This one already has that done! How much would you offer for this?

  1. Extremely low miles on it...either that, or extremely high and its been turned over...

Appears to be in good shape from the photos. I would offer $1800 and see what he says. I wouldnt spend more than that though...its 18 years old. But those were great bikes in the 90's...

  2. The price is definately right at 1,800, you are stealing it, I would jump all over it!!! 11,000 miles on a 1990 is VERY low milage if it is accurate.

Owned one, also owned an FZR1000, now I own a YZF1000... the Fizzer 6 is a very fun bike, and the thing is, you buy it for 1800 today..you will sell it for the same price 2 years from now. The bottom on an FZR6 in good shape is around 2000-2500...they don't drop below that very often unless they are just ragged out.

You can actually finish the conversion on that body if you want, place called Airtech makes the R1 kit for it...SHARP!!!

whole kit is under 800, 1800+800= 2600...who can get a bike that looks like THAT for 2600 bucks???? Best thing...you would probably never see anyone riding a bike like yours at the stop lights, it would be essentially one of a kind!!!

  3. 2000 is about right (considering it does have a couple of pricey mods to it... the exhaust and tail)

you could try and jew him down to 1800-1900 tho.

  4. fizzer is an o.k. bike 1500 is what I would pay for it

  5. Looks pretty nice, but i'm kinda biased cuz that was my first bike.  It's got really low miles for a 1990, seems like a good buy since you have to figure you would've spent an extra couple hundred to do the R6 tail conversion.

I doubt you can lower the price more than a couple hundred bucks.  Try offering him $1600 cash and he'll likely respond with $1900 and work from there.  The seller will usually meet somewhere in the middle.

  6. Paying $1800 is not a bad deal for you.  Make sure the title is clean, and not a salvage title (rebuilt after being totalled in a wreck).  Looks good, though.

    Good luck, and happy riding.
