This is an excerpt from a nascar site "J.D. Gibbs, president of Busch's Joe Gibbs Racing team, warned Edwards in the garage that people reap what they sow." Pretty cocky of gibbs since they just got caught cheating

  1. All I have to say is that I like both Kyle Busch & Edwards but they

better watch out because if they want to race each other the way

they did Saturday night while they are in the chase, they both may

ruin their chances at a championship!

  2. At least Brother Gibbs quoted the Bible, in keeping with his Christian ethics:

"Edwards was not summoned by NASCAR, but he was stopped near the NASCAR hauler by Joe Gibbs Racing president J.D. Gibbs to talk about the exchange with his driver. "He just explained to me that you reap what you sow, which I believe," Edwards said. "I explained to him that's why that happened that way. That's it." *

The little voices in my head agree with everything I just said.  ;  )

  3. Yes, he stopped Edward's, shook his hand and congratulated him and then told him you reap what you sow. Edward's said he already knew that and then patted him on the back and they walked away. They showed it last night on This Week In NASCAR. It looked like a fairly friendly exchange. Just a little underlying message there, lol.

The funniest part was when the Speed guy interviewed Kyle. This was after the interview that Kyle called Edwards Mr. Ed-like, lol. Kyle said that Carl bumped him, and then ran over him, and the he (Kyle) would not want to race or win like that. Give me a frickin' break. I hope somebody else saw that interview!!

  4. hahaha thats pretty good. ahem, I would definitely say that is true though. On Saturday night Kyle got a fair fight with Carl there at the end and was raced just like he has raced everyone else so far this year. Maybe J.D should have been preaching that to Kyle at the beginning of the season instead of to Carl now....

  5. Carl Edwards is a phony. He'll get his payback. Kyle Busch is a cleaner racer than him. Everybody is holding the Dale Jr thing against him but how many other cup drivers has he taken out this season??

Edwards has wrecked his share, too. He will reap what he sows. Notice even after Cheating Carl passed Kyle Busch Kyle could have wrecked him but didn't. That's him maturing and knowing he can beat him in the chase. Edwards will get his and will be kissing his championship hopes goodbye. I can't believe so many people buy his good guy gimmick but Kyle Busch is the better person. Edwards is a cocky smug jerk. If this really is good guy vs good guy you guys should see that Edwards is the bad guy because he is a PHONY. At least Kyle shows what he really feels even if it's wrong. Hopefully Edwards will reap what he sows.

  6. I like tom p's answer <LOL>

  7. They need to calm down.  It's racing, it happens.  I even saw Bobby Labonte do a bump and run on Saturday night, lol!

  8. yeah they tneed to get over it, Christ it's racing

  9. I seem to remember Bob Osborne, Flipper's crew chief, being suspended for a few races, too.

  10. I think J.D. Gibbs feels threatened.

  11. What is the big deal about what happened saturday night?  It's like no one ever saw anything like that before.  LOL

What NASCAR site is that you saw it on???.

It would be nice to see a link or you've lost credibility.

  12. I think Joe Gibbs Racing is taking this way too far. It is not the first time someone has done the bump and run at Bristol. Just because it's Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards what's the difference. Jeff Gordon has done the bump and run before. We have all seen the tapes. And if it had been the other way around, where Kyle did the bump and run on Carl, there wouldn't be such a problem. Seriously ya'll.

Also, JM1, how is bumping a guy getting him loose and passing him cheating? That's what Nascar is all about. Kyle did try to wreck Carl after the pass. Did ya not see Carl get loose heading into the corner? And if he's maturing, why in god's name did he go and run into Carl after the race? He came real close to running into the back of his brother at that point.  And have you been watching nascar this year? Kyle has gotten into a lot more people than just Jr.

  13. Tonight on 'This Week In Nascar' on the Speed channel, Waltrip said "Busch just needs to take a little dose of what he's been dishing out."

Then they asked Greg Biffle if he were in Carl's shoes at that moment if he would have done the bump and run to Busch and Biffle answered: "Absolutely"

  14. Let's see.

    Pot...

    Kettle...

    Black...

    Hmmmmmmmmm

  15. JM #1 is right, Carl Edwards is a phony *** loser who will be exposed and all the people who have jumped on his bandwagon will regret their decision.

  16. Actually I heard Carl Edwards say that JD went to shake his hand, congratulated him on the win then said "remember you reap what you sow" Carl said he put his hand up and said "I already knew that"

I didn't think Carl's bump and run on Kyle was that bad, hardley a tap he didn't try to spin him out it was just racing.

I believe Kyle had the fastest car and after that last pit they changed something to tighten it up or free it up (can't remember which) and Carl knew he could take Kyle on the short run and he got it done.  Carl also said "I was sitting there thinking if it were Kyle what would he do and then I thought about Richmond when he ran me right over in the Nationwide race and didn't even think about it, then I had my answer."  Bump & run.  If Kyle's car was as good as Carl's then he would have been able to catch him but after the bump & run Carl simply drove away on Kyle.

Then Kyle had to retaliate after the race, he can dish it out but boy oh boy he can't take it.   Not just Carl have you heard how many different crew chiefs  tell their drivers to watch out for Kyle because he WILL wreck you, to always be prepared for the worst if you see him coming.  Doesn't sound like he has earned to much respect.

  17. Maybe I missed something. It was a BRISTOL race ! Everyone forgets Earnhardt Sr, DW, Rusty Wallace, Jeff Gordon all perfected the bump and run. What's the big deal ? Shrub would have done the same thing. As it was, Shrub tried to do it to  Edwards right after he was passed, Carl drove as hard as he could because he KNEW Shrub was trying to return the favor. Good grief, people, lighten up.

It used to be just about ALL the cars had tire marks on both sides, front & rear damage, cars with fenders and no rear bumpers. You forget-same as Talladega-the cars were built with steel re-inforced bumpers until NASCAR made them stop it..

  18. Sounds like Denny's job the rest of the season will be wrecking Carl.

  19. Gibbs needs to give Busch that warning. Although the feud is fun to watch, it would be ashamed if either of them hurt their potential championship run over it.

  20. It was Bristol, what does anyone expect? The king of the bump and run at Bristol is Jeff Gordon, it has nothing to do with good guy/bad guy. Had Kyle been running 2nd he would have done the same thing, and said that it was just racing.

  21. LOL...JGR is tumbling in terms of reputation.

  22. Sounds like Kyle is rubbing off on J.D. Gibbs.  It must be a disease.  I just don't like Kyle Busch's attitude.  That kind of thing can be contagious.
