  1. When we start torturing people, we've fallen to the levels of the terrorists.  That's what I think.  And that defeats the whole purpose of it.  I do think there is some truth to the fact that it's being used as a fear tactic, which basically qualifies it as "terrorism" (look at the root word there).


  2. Let's be clear about one thing first. The majority of Americans are opposed to torture and are sickened by the idea that it's being done in their name. The people who are really to blame are the specific people who have implemented these policies, who are out of touch with what's good for their own citizens and others, and are even more out of touch with American ideals.

    That said, if torture has ever been an effective means of getting the truth out of people, I would really love to find out when.

  3. I think America should lead by example and not be getting in the mud with the others.  Torture doesn't produce any good or reliable information and is just to hard to watch so I know I don't want to live it.  It creates individuals who hate us more then they first did and makes them want to torture our men and women.  America needs to stop the torture.
