Im opening a puppy parlor specializing in grooming, selling shampoos and clothes.

What do you think of the name "Gimme 4"... or do you think people may not get it?

Give me your own ideas and suggestions.

Thanks!

  1. i got it after bout 5 secs so its not like instant get it.not sure bout it though tried to think ov one but nothing come to mind yet

  2. From a Marketing point of view, "Gimme 4" is oriented to YOU, the seller, and not to the customer/decision-maker, your potential clients.  I also think your instinct is correct: it's too oblique ... obscure ... not clear enough.  In my experience (corp. marketing), it's not your wisest choice.

Best to be clear with your name -- the single most often used piece of marketing communications you have.

I would suggest (given the grooming/styling offerings)

    THE PAMPERED PUPPY

(do you really mean, by the way, to literally specialize in PUPPIES ... versus older dogs, too?   I doubt it. therefore, some alternatives follow.)

    CANINE STYLE

    THE DELIGHTED DOGGIE

    THE PAMPERED POOCH

    GRRRRRROOOMING PARLOR

    DOGGIE ELEGANCE

THE POOCH PARLOR  (still cute, but no age implications as with "puppy" ... this one feels to me like a good choice in the spirit of what you're offering)

    POOCHY PERFECTION

  3. I still don't get it...

Why not "Puppy Parlor"?  It sounds great!

  4. Unfortunately I think "Gimme 4" is too obscure.

How about:  Your Dapper Dog; Your Dashing Dog;  The Dapper Dawg; The Chillin Dawg;  Uptown Dog;  Good Looking Dog; and variations on the theme.

I think you need to indicate in the name what it's all about - a place for dogs, and if possible what that place does - grooms them, makes them look good, etc.  Or you can also try to do it with dog and place.

Naming your place for understanding (of what you do) is specially important if you're counting on drive-by and/or walk-by traffic.

    Good luck.
