Her name is Emma or Alex( I can't decide. Need help on that)

last name is Rich( can you think of a better one to fit her? she is not actually rich, it is just a name I made up on the spot when I was writing my story.

Appearance: slightly wavy brown hair

normal sized body for an 18 year old

light tan skin tone

slightly chubby cheeks

electric blue eyes( needed for plot)

Strengths: slightly faster at running than average girls, but not the fastest

above average smarts due to reading alot, but no where close to genius

always lots of determination

flaws: overprotective of family

very sarcastic- I think that is a flaw...

can't ever let go of a lose

sort of shy, but not a whole lot

some times when no one is expecting it, she has a temper tantrum, but very rarely

family members: Parents- richard Rich and Marie Rich( both die at beginning of book)

Sarah- sister- age 13

Vanessa and Samantha- twins at age 10

Eric- brother at age 8

These characters have similar appearances as Emma (or Alex), but varying personalities

Is this character a Mary- Sue? Can you help improve her to make her more realistic?

Oh, one more question. Isn't Harry Potter sort of a Gary- Sue, because he is like good at almost everything? Thanks for your help

  1. it is ok I guess, it depends how u use it, where and with who, the rest depends 2 u so can't give u info about this

    :P:PP, not always

  2. I would go for Emma Rich. Her character sound like an interesting one. I don't there is a 2nd point of view. Mostly either first or third point of view.

  3. Booorrrriinnng

  4. I think she seems good.  Just make sure to use her flaws and don't make every guy she meets fall instantly in love. ^^

Alex Rich is really hard to say, so go with Emma, if only because it flows better.

I feel sorry for any guy whose parents named him Richard Rich.

Harry's actually bad at almost everything.  His only skills are Quidditch and DADA.  Besides that, he has Hermione tutor him.

2nd person is writing using the word "you."  It's very hard to make work, so I'd suggest avoiding it (except in love poems and such) until you have a lot of experience.

  5. there is a second POV.

It's a narrator who is in the story but is narrating the protagonists's story.

Ex. A story about you being narrated by your grandmother.
