  1. What kind of person would do it?

Somebody who had an interest in Anatomy & Human Biology I would expect.

Does it look difficult and academic?

If you look on the requirements page, it shows you how many points/what grades you would need - so you would need an A and 2 x B grades or 3 x A grades at A2 level (used to just be called A-Levels, but they changed them in recent years). The high requirements show that yes, it would be difficult & academic.

The University of Liverpool is a very respected "old" university (ie, it's always been a proper university - it didn't start out life as a Polytechnic or a College... therefore it has a lot more "kudos" in the academic world than, for example, somewhere like Luton University ;-) )

  2. I have to formal education behind me and have just done two years of a Criminal Justice Degree. If you have an interest and are prepared to commit to the work needed then yes it is still hard but enjoyable and worth it. You won't know if you don't try.

  3. Basic anatomy, learned in the first year at any medicine college (faculty for europeans). Everything is hard if you hate it.

  4. Yes, it's hard.

Doctors and artists might be interested.
