What do you think of this doctors visit?

I scheduled an appointment for a physical exam with my new family doctor. I waited in the waiting room for 1 hour and then another 20 minutes in the examination room. When the doctor came in she looked at my papers/asked questions. Then, She checked my heart, lungs, belly. Gave me some healthy advice and had the nurse take me for a urine sample. That was it...I was told I was done.

What kind of physical exam was this, should I find another family doctor?

  1. I don't know. It's honestly about the same for me.

I also think it has to do with what time during the day you go. The earlier you schedule your appointment, the less likely you will have to wait. I used to schedule mine about 2-3ish, and would have to wait forever in the waiting rooms. Last time I had an appointment it was around 9am. I think I was only in the waiting room for 10 minutes. I'd try this and if you still have to wait that long, check out other doctors.

    Good luck! :)

  2. If I was your doctor's professor, I have flunked him for poor BEDSIDE MANNERS.  Most doctors have lost the sense of caring and rappour. He could have discussed with you, made jokes with you or simply talk to you like he met somebody new and interesting. But I will be charging you more......
