What do you think of this gesture?

What about a mom who caresses her son with her feet while he is watching tv lying on the floor? She is a friend of mine, her son is 7 and she does that especially when she is talking on the phone.

Jeez, people are getting so paranoid these days that they think showing affection is abuse.

My mum strokes me, hugs me, kisses me all the time. It's perfectly normal to show affection with your parents/children/siblings.

Please be careful with this. You could lose you're friend if you read more into this than is there. You could also be sending the wrong message to people, and cause a lot of trouble. Please be careful both for yourself and the boy.

Dont think any thing of it at all, a pretty normal sort of thing for a mom to do in a well balanced family.  If you think it is abnormal there is something a bit suspect about you!

I love hearing that her son is getting physical affection from his mom, even when she's on the phone.  My son loves it when my nails grow out and I can scratch his back with them.  I hope none of my friends think that's weird.

I think it's a normal loving gesture-personally I used to do it to my lad when he was younger and would stay still.
