What do you think of this idea? (Gas prices)?

I just received a forwarded email, and I thought the idea was actually pretty smart. It suggested boycotting Exxon and Mobil for the rest of this year, rather than just not buying gas on a particular day. I think it could make an impact if enough people do it. What do you think? If you like it, spread it!

we tried this past friday to not buy gas and guess what? it back fired and prices went up 3 or 4 cents a gallon.  conserve gas when you can, walk if you can, the top 5 Big Oils are not going to be hurt by a few thousand people not buying from them for a while.  If they want to make back the losses from a few, they will just jack up prices even more.

if you do not buy it from the exxon station, they sell it in the open market..........NY merk,cbot.etc.the guy at the gas atation looses his job(he don't make much)...............
