What do you think of this idea for a petting zoo?

Like, I like cats but keeping cats is too much work. How come there's no petting zoo where there's a bunch of cats who can socialize and climb around and stuff. I'd pay pay to get into one of those and cuddle a cat. How about some thing for dogs?

I thought of that idea too, a petting zoo with your common house pets would be cool, except i wanted rabbits and puppies. My idea was that others could also bring their dogs (should be trained though) and their pets could socialize and it could also be an alternative to having to leave your dog at home while at work. Although, you need a lot of money to be able to afford that!

Well, I like cats and dogs too, but when I think of petting zoos, I think of Llammas, goats, pigs and all that stuff. You could start a petting zoo with all of that stuff, just to be unique. But cats can bite and dogs can jump.

My idea of a petting zoo would include minature horses, pigs, sheep, and maybe even llamas.

Why don't you just volunteer at your local shelter?  They have tons of cats and dogs that would LOVE some affection and attention from someone, plus you would be doing a good thing and wouldn't have to pay.  That's what I did in college when I couldn't have a dog of my own, I went every week to the Humane Society and walked and trained dogs for a few hours.  It made me feel good and I know the dogs appreciated it too!
