There once was a little girl who was born with just a head. She had a very pretty face and an equally beautiful and kind spirit, despite her handicap. But, like any young girl, she yearned for romance. One day, to her delight, a family moved in next door and had an extremely handsome son around the same age. Shortly afterward, the young girl saw the boy sunning himself out in the backyard next to hers. She rolled herself out to him and introduced herself. The young man was nice to her even though she was merely a head and not a whole girl. Soon they became engrossed in several topics of conversation, one of which was what their favorite fruit was. The young man confessed that above any type of food at all, he absolutely craved and enjoyed grapes. Since the girl had such a kind and beautiful spirit, all she could think of was making the young man happy. That night she prayed to her fairy god-head to please turn her into the most delicious and juicy grape. Voila ! Her fairy god-head granted the girl's wish. The next morning the girl could hardly wait to join the young man outside in the backyard. As she rolled toward him now as a grape, the young man saw her - - and before she could say a word, POOF! the young man picked her up and popped her in his mouth. Unaware that the grape was the girl from next door, he commented to himself that the grape he just had eaten was by far the most delicious! SO WHAT, PRAY TELL, IS THE MORAL TO THIS STORY?
