Good rule of thumb to follow - NEVER put your darkest color on your brow-bone. You need a highlight there - a pearly, shimmery shade to accentuate the definition of your brow. Also, blend until your eyes bleed.

First I would say that not only do the colors not mesh well together but that they are too cut and dry. The key to making almost (this being the key word!) any two colors look good together is blending. You need at least 3 colors (one light, one darker, one neutral) to blend the perfect eye. Check out this girls eye shadow. The light color always goes on the inside corner of your eye, this prevents you from looking evil. it depends on were you are going because i would not personally sport this look during the day but if you are going out with friends at night it looks okay
