  1. He was lucky the olympic big wigs didn't tell him off for that.Actually he sounds like a right k**b.

  2. I am sorry but if i had been him i think i might have been annoyed if someone had been rushing me around, the official couldnt understand english...i suppose he had no other way of getting his point across lol x

  3. she was  hasstling  the man, she refused to stop pushing him  and so she got exactly what she deserved. whats the problem? if more people did that then perhaps we would get a little more respect going in this world. no one likes to be shoved around.

  4. I thought he was rude and pompus.  I had an ex husband who trained for the olympics and he had the same attitude.  They think they are above everyone else and they are not.

Manners cost nothing and a true hero/winner is kind and polite and respectfull.

  5. I think if I had just swam 10km and someone started pushing me around I probably would have done the same thing.

He obviously a pretty good bloke to speak so highly of the guy who beat him.

  6. He's a brit what do you expect.  Stuck up s****. little rich kid, he'd be pounded to the ground if he tried to pull that here in America.

she didn't push him, typical brits sticking up for one of their own despite him acting a disgrace.  the official just touched him on the arm to get his attention while he was too busy lapping up the media attention. They should have started the medals presentation without him.

  7. Complete and total tool.

All he had to do was go for the medal ceremony as was asked of him in the first place. His five minutes of fame would have been waiting for him when he was done.

  8. CHINA leads by 51 GOLD medals, is CHAMPION Beijing 2008 olympic games. well done Beijing, CHINA.

  9. Did anyone not notice that he had just swum 10k and was exhausted and had to have treatment at the end of the race because he was dizzy and disorientated.  And that the Chinese officials could have  backed off, what he did perhaps was something out of character and what really pisses me off with some of these replies is that its unlikely anyone watched it, or listened to him. Why is it always the snob factor thrown in when in fact if you listen to most of the competitors they come from all backgrounds, walks of life, and his remarks about the man who so very narrowly beat him was more than magnanimous. Perhaps you should try and do it yourselves and see what it like, armchair athletes can be so critical.
