I have been wanting another horse and searching these last few months. I cme across this mare and am very interested, I just want a few second opinions on her conformation and over-all look. I'm looking to finish her off as a nice trial horse, possibly some showing but I'm not sure yet what she would acell at. I am also unsure if she is registered. Any and all comments are welcome.

  1. i think she is beautiful

  2. She is beautiful. I have 2 paint geldings along with 2 palominos. I recommend getting her registered if she isn't.

Because if you're going to show her then I think that is the best thing to do. But look at all of her pros and cons. For example, does she spook easily, does she get along well with other horses. If she is what you're looking for, buy her because it is hard work trying to find a horse that fits your personality.

  3. I agree with several of your posters that she is quite a nice looking horse.  I like her shoulder, neck and feminine head.

I am not crazy about her hip and hocks.  It could be the way she looks in the pictures, but her hocks look a little bit sickle to me.  She also looks to be built higher in the rear than in the front.  It is likely that she will grow out of that, but its possible that's how she will finish.  That could make self carriage an issue for her.

I think that she should be well suited for the trail, and you may want to watch her mature before you select a show discipline for her.

On a side note, I have a loud paint and her skin is very sensitive to sun and bugs.  She breaks out in itchy bumps that she will rub raw if she is left out in bugs, or if they are thick on a trail ride.  Just beware that this mare could be prone to issues like this, and you may have to be careful about her maintenance.

I would certainly go ride her, the last thing that you want is a rough trail horse!! But she is very nice.

  4. She is pretty but I think you need to work on getting her to be a little more fit. She looks like she is healthy, great markings, but you need to sign a special form to own her. She is a great height and I think you should go ahead and try it out.

  5. looks as though she might have hoof probs in the time coming so i would say lovley horse keep her unshoed and her hoofs neatly cut   good luck

    best wishes

  6. WOW!! She is very beautiful and she is put together nicely and she looks like a good horse!

  7. She's nice - in one photo, her shoulder looks VERY steep but I am almost positive it's just the angle, as it looks lovely in the other photo.  She is a little downhill but most Western-type horses are.  She's flashy and pretty, and I don't see any bad conformational faults at all.  If you have the know-how to finish a green horse and aren't put off by typical squirrely youngster antics, then I think she's lovely.

  8. awww...she is lovely! My jaw dropped the moment I saw her.  She is a very dramtic marked paint.  I like her alot!  How lovely!  And I usually don't act like this to everyone on here!  But wow.  Absolutely superb!

Her neck, withers, and back all tie in well together too!

    **EDIT**

I feel confortable with her owners too.  They seem to tell you what is good and bad about her.  Usually all they say on there is all great stuff the horse does and etc...I like her, and I agree with the owners, she is too good to pass up!

    **EDIT** AGAIN!

I have noticed that some people are saying that she has small feet and will probably have problems in the future.  Well, I say just ignore them.  QH naturally/usually have smaller feet.  You should see this one horse at our stables.  She is a QH with a huge butt, with these little tiny feet! She is like 14 years old and has had no problems.  I think that that is usually how QHs' feet usually are.

  9. I have judged horses before so here we go. Great looking horse and would succeed in every thing if properly trained. Good footing and looks. Maybe toed out in the front but can't tell without front and back views. But very gorgeous and her back flows well into her withers.

    Go and get 'em sister

    Good luck

  10. The conformation of this mare seems really good. However, I would watch out for that temperment. It says 7, and 10 is the highest. If you are an experienced rider and believe you can handle this, then by all mean, she seems like a nice horse. But (be honest with yourself) if you are not an experience rider and are unable to handle her, then you might want to continue your search.

  11. She has that nice Quarter Horse build. I'm not much on paints, especially brown/white. But she is nicely marked and has a good glossy coat.

  12. She's a georgous filly!  BUT she is a green filly!  Do you have a trainer you can work with or put her under?

She's well worth her price tag.

Now just remember you're stating you want  "another" horse, so does that mean you already have one or it's been a while since you've had a horse and if so, how long ago?

If it's been more than a couple of years I would say if you're NOT going to put her under a trainer to finish her, then look elsewhere, this gal's more than you can handle at this point.

  13. Wow! She is gorgeous! I think you should definitely buy her.

  14. I like it.  My preference would be a solid color, black, white, tan, brown.  If you like it, and take good care of it, she will be blessed:)

  15. Overall, I can't see anything too serious.  She's a flashy, pretty mare.  I do see, however, feet that are too small for her size and a bit weak in the heels.  She somewhat overweight.  Also, she's just a little bit rump high which could make her heavy on the forehand.  Hopefully, as she matures, much of these issues will resolve themselves.

  16. She looks really nice, for a paint.  As in, her muscle and conformation are really good.  She does look like she's been taken care of well, and hopefully that means her disposition and current level of training are good.

I think the price is a little high, for today's market, and especially if she is unregistered.  I am sure she could be registered if you wanted to pay for all of the arrangements.  So if you're really interested in her, I wouldn't say anything to warn you off.  You sound like you know what you're doing, and can handle finishing a green broke horse, so if everything checks out fine, I think you have a great plan!  Have fun!

  17. I am not an expert on confirmation but i think she is lovely. would like a better shot of her head to see her "eye" but a very good looking paint. all healthy 4 year olds are active and can be a handfull-be ready to train!

  18. she looks beautiful!! i love her! i ride english so i would put her in hunters and equitation maybe jumpers if she showed that she liked it... i don't know... i would have to see her jump something... but i would definately buy her
