What do you think of this meal plan?

I don't eat much of a variety of foods but I want to make sure I am eating balanced. Tell me what you think of this week's meal plan. By the way, the oreo's, lorna doone's and chip ahoy are 100 calorie snack packs.

Monday:

Breakfast: Cheerios and pineapple

Snack: Carrots

Lunch: Cheesy O’s

Snack: Apple and Carrots with oreos

Dinner: Chicken and green beans.

Bedtime Snack: Water

Tuesday

Breakfast: Oatmeal and Apple

Snack: Carrots and Cheese

Lunch: Chicken

Snack: Apple and Carrots with Lorna Doone

Dinner: O’s with red sauce and green beans

Bedtime Snack: Apple Juice

Wednesday

Breakfast: Golden Grahams and Apple Juice

Snack: Apple

Lunch: O’s with red sauce and green beans

Snack: Carrots and chip ahoy

Dinner: Honey bunches of oats

Bedtime Snack: Water

Thursday

Breakfast: Oatmeal pancakes and Apple

Snack: Carrots

Lunch: Chicken and cheese

Snack: Apple and oreo’s

Dinner: O’s with red sauce and green beans

Bedtime Snack: Apple Juice

Friday

Breakfast: Oatmeal and Apple

Snack: Cheerios

Lunch: O’s in red sauce with carrots

Snack: Apple and Lorna Doone

Dinner: Chicken and green beans

Bedtime Snack: water

  2. Add more green veggies like broccoli and greens.  They taste wonderful with bbq sauce or catalina dressing.  Cut down on the cheese.  Other than that, I think it is well balanced.

  3. If you want to organize and prepare in advance, you have done that in spades!  

    Please consider the nutritional contents of the packaged food that you get.  The sodium content and fat content of O's may be very high.  It looks like you are eating processed food like Lorna Doones and not whole grains.  If that is not a problem for you, wonderful!

    Do you like room for spontaneity?  Or for seeing a great buy at the the grocery store or wherever you get food?  If luscious summer peaches or fresh fish or whatever you like comes in, you might allow it room on your menu.

  4. I am not sure what O's are ~ are those the macaroni and cheese crackers or like a pasta?  

    I think your breakfast is perfect and your snacks are fine except I think you need more fruits, veggie's and protein in your diet ~ you seem to have a lot of carbs and sugars in your diet

    I don't think Wednesday was a particular good day I think Friday was a bit better as far as keeping your carbs earlier in the day

  5. Water & apple juice is not a good bedtime snack.  The eating 6 times a day is great!  But you should give your body a better snack before bed (almonds and raisins for example) and more nutrition during the day.  Read the Abs Diet it will give you a great in depth answer to your question.
