What do you think of this name for a girl? Any other suggestions?

Sienna Kathleen

Since we found out its a girl, we've been rolling around different girl's names and so far like this one the best. Im still open to ideas on names.

I want something pretty and feminine.. but not "common". I dont want my girl to be another Jessica or a Stephanie in the crowd.

Middle name has to be Kathleen.

Other names we thought of were

Sierra

Jupiter

I once had a list that also included September and Sapphire.. but since she's due in Jan, these seemed kinda odd.

A friend of mine was going to name her first Ambrosia if it was a girl.. it turned out to be a boy tho. I liked it, but I dont want to "steal" her name.

Sierra is pretty. It means 'south' in Spanish. Perhaps Ciara?

Sienna is the name of a color of brown. That would be lovely especially if the little girl is likely to be a brunette.

Sienna Kathleen is very lovely.

Ambrosia(I knew a fluffy cat named this), Jupiter (I have known several large dogs with this name)..too unappealing. Perhaps there is a name you can coin that evokes Ambrosia. Like Ambria. It's good that you are considering carefully.

stick with Sienna Kathleen. Its a gorgeous name and not very common which is good, but not Jupiter or Ambrosia.

I love Sienna. It is so pretty and feminine. Sierra is very trendy and blah. Jupiter is just silly and way over the top. Since you like different unique names like me, here is my list of favs you may like

I really like Sierra.. Miranda isnt too common and neither is Alice but if u r going for a little more uncommon maybe Rosalie or Ava or Noelle

I like Sierra better, please not Jupiter - it's really not pretty, and kind of odd.  I understand you want a less common name, but think of living with it first.

Kathleen is actually a beautiful, classic, classy name!

I really like Sierra.  That is so pretty.   I dont like Ambrosia, and yes, alot of people get into to trouble for stealing their friends baby names.  What about more unusual names like Kiarah or Shaynee or Cypress.

Sienna is a beautiful name and so is Sierra. I personally love both of them. I'm not so much a fan of Jupiter or Ambrosia.

If you like uncommon feminine names you might like Charlotte. I think that is such a pretty name and it isn't very common either.

Isabella, Noa, Elena, Lola, Alexa, Hayden, Lihana, and Violet are a few other suggestions.

Kathleen is a good choice for a middle name. It is pretty and simple, so it works well with almost any first name that you choose.

I like Jupiter. The problem I see with it is that it rhymes w/Stupider, and kids are likely to have a field day with that.  

Ambrosia is cute. If you want to use it, ask your friend if she minds. I wouldn't take people online too seriously... when I was naming my son, I took "rude comments" as a sign that my son wasn't going to be one of the many Michaels or Davids (of my generation) on the playground

Ambrosia and Jupiter are awful.  Dessert and a planet named after a God? That is too much for me.  I do, however, like Sienna Kathleen. Very nice and femanine and classic.

Of all or your options, I like Sienna Kathleen best.  Far better than Ambrosia or Jupiter.  Sierra is ok but reminiscent of Sierra Club.
