"Zaiden Timothy Daniel" (Zaiden is made up, Timothy for my dad and Daniel for my husband's dad) Is it too traditional to have both grandfathers' names? Our first baby (due Nov 24/08) and sooo excited!

  1. i love it!

i don't think it matters that Zaiden is a made-up name...i knew a kid named Zebulon and that's a bible name....

    love

    love

    love

    ps - congratulations!!

  2. Sorry but Zaiden sounds made up. I think it'll sound dated soon too. Now that the Aiden's have become too great in number everybody's just adding a consonant to the beginning of the name to make it different. (Haiden, Braiden, Cayden, Jayden, etc, etc, etc)

What about Xavier? Ezra?  There are a lot of uncommon names that still have a classic feel to them and will age better.

  3. Sounds good to me..I love it!

  4. its a wonderful name. i like it a lot. congratulations!

  5. Zaiden is OK but the Timothy Daniel part is not my favorite, it is just rather run-of-the mill.

Unique names are great. Somepeople take unique names too far tho...that reminds me of the funny part in 'Baby Mama' where they overhear a mom telling her kids that they have a playdate with Wingspan and Banjo.

    lol

  6. It's a mouthful. my 10 yr old has two names combined to make one middle name for ppl in our family.

if you want to use it go ahead! it carries special meaning for you.

  7. I think Zaiden is awful.  Why not name him Daniel Timothy?  Or you could just pick one of the grandfathers to name this baby after and hope that you have another boy in the future (or use Timothy for this kid and then if your next one is a girl her middle name could be Danielle or Daniella in honor of Daniel).  I just really don't like it when people use two middle names.  Kids do not need that many names!

  8. I think its a cute name. If your naming it after your dad and your husbands dad, I wouldn't worry about tradition. Your honoring them. And Zaiden is cute.

  9. Timothy Daniel is a very nice name, so is Daniel Timothy. I think the significance of it is sweet.

Zaiden ... however can be thrown in the trash.

  10. Awesome name!! :) If you really like it ... dont worry about what others think ... I dont care that people hate the name I chose for my son

    (Maverick Devon)

    Oh and congrats!! :)

  11. Mam, I kind of like made up names sometimes, and this is one of those times, I like Zaiden Timothy Daniel, it sounds like the boy wearing it would be strong, sturdy, loving, easy going, mischievious, in some things you know like a typical little boy! Congratulations!! To you & your husband from me(granny 5), I have one of my sons named Timothy, and I love the name Daniel, may God continue to bless you and your gift from God, freely given to you!

  12. i dont really like Zaiden..

but im naming my son Jayden i really like names like jayden, kayden, aiden

  13. Ahhh...Zaiden I dont like to much but Timothy Daniel sounds great. Anyways dont you think that 2 names is enough. He wont be using all those names.

  14. I love it.  Zaiden is awesome.

a child with 4 names is great.  It challenges the governmental agencies to try and figure out how to put it all down properly.  I myself have 4 names.  First Middle Maiden and Married.  It was h**l on the military computer system and car buying c**p, but it's all worked out now and I know how to tell them the right way to enter it all.  Strangely enough the Social Security office and Drivers License Bereau had absolutely no problems.  I can't imagine why.

Anyway, go with it.  He'll have a different name in School that he can have the teachers call him anything he wants.

  15. haha sounds white! almost like calling someone skyler or ZANE but its a great name though i'd totaly go for it if i wasnt mexican ima name my daughter Aryceli

    AR for Armando

    y means why is spanish

    Celi for Celia the mom

  16. The name sounds really nice, I like it.

  17. I love that you are honoring someone that is so admirable. Im not too fond of the name Zaiden, if you are into unusual names, y not find an unusual name that has a strong meaning like Elijah or Isaiah

  18. I like Zaiden. It sounds like an exotic play on Aiden or Jaiden (although personally I would prefer Jaiden).

Traditional names are great! But I think "Zaiden Daniel Timothy" would sound better than "Zaiden Timothy Daniel".

  19. I love that you have chosen names that mean something to you as middle names. I got 4 kids the first name I chose because I liked them, but I gave each a middle name or 2 middle names after some one who was special to me and my husband.

The oldest a daughter: Jorden Rae my older sisters’ middle name is Rae.

The second a son: Dustin "Dusty" Michael- Thomas. Michael is after my favorite cousin and Thomas is my youngest brother’s middle name.

The third Christopher Joseph, Joseph is both my fathers and my brothers’ middle name (he is a Jr.)

My youngest Emily Ann- Ann is my other sisters and mother in-law middle name.

My younger brother Joseph named his daughter Martha. After her Mother, and both Grandma both have passed away.  They gave her own middle name though. So I Think the middle names are more special when they are given with such honor.

I like Zaiden it is different but familiar, with all the Hayden's, Cayden's out there.

I was going for different when I named my oldest (now 16y) daughter Jorden. Everyone thought it was dumb, that she’d get teased because it was a “boys” name.

But to me it was 100% perfect. And now it seems like there are tons of Jorden, nobody teases her but teachers have assumed she was a he on the first day of school.

  20. It's not too traditional at all. Both Timothy and Daniel are wonderful classic names and work beautifully with each other. It's just a bonus that it's after both grandfathers'.

I will warn you about Zaiden. Even though you didn't ask, I'd like to tell you that Zaiden isn't the greatest choice you could have chosen for your little boy. Although it would be very cute on a child, it doesn't work so much for a grown man trying to make something out of himself. Zaiden sounds very juvenile and the kid will outgrow his name in a matter of years. It's the same with all the Braden, Caden, Raden boys running around.

Zander would a lot better. Alexander with the nn of Xander would be even better.

It really bothers me that you can openly say that you made up your child's name and are okay with it.

    But, to each their own.

  21. I don't really like Zaiden because being a different kind of name he might get made fun of. Why not try Jaiden Timothy Daniel. I think using a name that means something to you both like the grandfathers names is a great way to keep a family name and have your son feel special that he is named after his two grandfathers. Good luck with your little boy.

  22. Oh my God ,

it is very original and i liked it.

    btw i congratulate to you...

  23. I think, are you Italian, husband is Italian? If so, go for a name like Julian, Marcus. I preferably like Marcus.

  24. Not traditional in anyway.  Just the opposite, Zaiden is very modern and trendy; and it's not made up, as I've seen quite a few other people use the name on here.

As for using the grandfathers' name, honoring a relative with a name is never out of style!

Good luck with the baby this winter!

  25. im sorry i dont like the name Zaiden jaut image him in school zaiden come to the office? i tdosent sound good. or call him for dinner?  what is his nick name gunna be? Zee Zay like no.

    im sorry

    -fran :[

i like the Tomothy Daniel part though :]

  26. I think it's a great name.  Many middles names are uncommon because they are family names that people don't want to use as the first name.  Yours is just reversed.  It flows really well.
