  1. I don't like the fact that he said teaching obedience so you don't have to teach the your children any thing else is stupid. so you don't want your kids to think for themselves. if they are obedient  then if some one tells them to smoke pot then they will do it? please being respectful is one thing but calling a child obedient making sure they do every thing you say can back fire especially when they get older. but I do agree with what he said about spankings. spankings have been around for years why is it now in this day in age abuse I was spanked growing up and now that I'm older and  a parent I can understand why. and why would any one referee to their children as a tomatoe plant that's a little out there.

  2. I'm a Christian, and I found it quite disturbing.  Teaching obedience so you don't have to teach anything else?  OK, so it's basically an instruction manual for how to brainwash your kids.  My respectful, moral son also has a mind of his own and independent thoughts in his head.  I have no desire to brainwash him and make him conform, nor would I allow anyone to do so.

  3. As a Christian, I'm disgusted with that book and website. From what I read, it appears that the author thinks that children are too sneaky to be trusted and too stupid to think for themselves. Yes, you have to teach your child morals and values, but good grief, not brainwash them like this author seems to be promoting.

One passage on the website mentioned something about "I have young adult children that live out of state. If I didn't trust them, I would make them stay with me." or something along those lines. What kind of delusional brainwashing is that?!? They honestly want us to treat adult children that way?

No thanks, I will pass on this book.

  4. I am a Christian and I think it is bullcrap from what I can gather on the website. No TV and homeschooling are not wrong on their own but combined with their tomato-staking which is basically controlling your child`s every move I think it very emotionally controlling.

And blaming outside influences for children who ``stray.``  Adam and Eve had no outside influence save one and they strayed right away. It is not ``other people`s children`` who will ``ruin`` a child -- it is the fact that people have free will and do not always use it for good.

God loved the WORLD as it says in the famous verse -- and he called us to go out into the WORLD.  To love one another as he loved us. To love our neighbor as ourselves.  Nowhere that I see does He command us to isolate from everyone else and label everyone different from us as a bad influence.

I actually feel like writing to the author and asking him if he realizes tomatoes are FRUITS to see what he says.

But yeah...this sets parents up for failure and his TONE. Can you BE more arrogant?

  5. oh dear god...this scares me....I just read a few passages and it freaked me...its a form of control,Brain washing, it doesn't let the children think for them selves...these children Will grow up thinking only they are right and everyone else is evil,scary....I will read more just because it peaked my curiosity, but in no way I will use this on my children I love them too much to hurt them this way

this is disturbing....on the website it said to stop tantrums, stand you child up an give him a serious swat on the rear...and repeat it if necessary...holy sh*t...she encourages spanking,as a consequence for everything.jeez,I wonder what she will do if a child hit another(haven't gotten there yet)..also she says that children should be happy to obey there parents and smile all the time,O boy she wants robot children....
