{Wrote this last month...I'd love feedback. Also, what should this remain? A poem or a song? And if you think a song, any ideas of a melody?}

"Writhing In My Solitude"

The love I had been longing for

So many years I stood and waited

Crying tears of selfish pity

Slowly becoming worn and jaded

Then my red eyes fell upon your face

As though a spotlight cast your brilliant figure

I knew that instant you were my savior

The thought of this will forever linger

Writhing in my solitude

My head held by clenched hands

Eyes rolling back inside their sockets

Reaching for you as I stand

Where is your voice, my darling

It's been silent without your calling

So long since I've traced your lips

Your face is needed to stop my falling

  1. WOW...amazing it could truly be both a song or a poem! FANTASTIC if it were a song though I would try to change line 11  and line  13 the eyes and socket and then my darling just wouldnt work 4 a song but I truly think this is would be spectacular as a poem or a song
