An eagle spreads its wings.

Embracing the warmth of earth.

Soaring over the land,

The majestic sea,

And the toppling peaks of the mountains.

He looks upon the earth,

And wonders of the lost beauty it once held.

Where are the never ending forests?

The open fields filled with blooming flowers, and tall grasses?

Where are the shining lakes teeming with life?

What has happened to this land?

He finds concrete jungles as its replacement.

No more fields, but sprawling box-houses.

Empty lakes now used as landfills.

It looks upon the earth, and thinks.

Is this the end?
