What do you think of this situation?

Anyone here know someone who always makes snarky comments to their best friend but is sugary sweet to everyone else?

It doesnt make sense that someone would tell everyone how much they love their best friend but then treat their best friend like c**p ... and treat everyone else a lot better. Any thoughts on a situation like this?

My guess is that the "best friend" in question is not a true friend at all.

It sounds like this person is quite insecure, and needs to bolster their self-confidence by putting you down or treating you unkindly. As to why he/she would be mean to you and nice to everybody else, simple - they think they can get away with being mean to you because you are "friends".

It's up to you whether you want to put up with this behaviour or not. Personally, I believe life is too short to surround yourself with people who hurt and disrespect you.
