What do you think of this strategy to deal with gas prices?

The franchisees that "own" the gas stations don't make any money of the gas sold, they make their money selling the stuff in the stores at the gas stations. What if everyone refused to buy ANYTHING at the gas stations' stores? Wouldn't that at least send a message?

Yes. It would put the independent station owners out of business and give the company owned stations a complete monopoly.

The oil companies might die from laughing all the way to the bank.
