  1. LT didnt have a great year last season but he will rebound back this year michael turner is gone. i wouldnt trade. i had steve smith last year it wasnt the greatest move i made. until carolina gets a QB that can complete passes to him i would be careful.

  2. Wow this is a tough call. Ladainian Tomlinson is the most proven player in fantasy football and is going to be a top performer no matter what. DJ Hackett however is most likely barely going to do anything. If you look at Steven Jackson and Steve Smith, they definitley have the potential to produce for you, but it's not guaranteed that they will.

Steven Jackson is a big, strong power running back who could put up great numbers, it just depends on if the players around him play well enough for him to do any damage. Last year in St. Louis, Jackson got hurt for most of the season and didn't do much until the end of the season when he returned from his injury. If I knew Jackson was going to play like he did at the end of last year, I would in a heartbeat tell you to make this trade, but I'm not so sure that he's going to be like he was at the end of last year with a few members of St. Louis' offensive line aging and injury prone (Orlando Pace for example).

As for Steve Smith he is very similar to Jackson. Smith is probably in the top 3 for overall talent at wide receiver in the league it's just a matter of whether or not Jake Delhomme can get him the ball and if he gets injured. Delhomme had surgery in the offseason but is expecting to be 100 percent this year. Smith is very injury prone, but if he can stay mainly injury free this year, I see him doing good things. If not then I'm not sure.

This is a very tough call, because if you look at the players you would be getting back then this trade is a very high risk, high reward trade so trust your own judgment on this one. I personally wouldn't make this trade because it is too big of a risk for me, but if its a risk you're willing to make it could end up winning you your fantasy football league if it works out for you. If it doesn't work out, you'll probably be known as "that stupid guy who traded LT before the season started" to the other members of your league. This is a big decision so think about it before you make the deal. Good luck, and I hope it works out for you.

  3. I like this trade.  Although you are trading the best fantasy player, you are getting back 1 definite high first rounder, and 1 legitimate 2nd rounder.  I am a big Steven Jackson fan.  It is a question on who you like better.  The trade is even with you getting the better end of it.

  4. Lets look at it from a draft point of view.  You had the #1 pick, I assume.  You took LT.  You are going to trade that #1 overall pick for probably the #4 pick and a top 5 WR.  Trading LT won't be easy but this guy has made a good offer.  I would take the trade because I think the total points of Smith/Jackson will be higher than the total points of LT/DJHackett.  You are taking a small step down at RB but getting a big step up in WR.  Hopefully, you already have another top WR that you can combo that with and really do some good things.

  5. Hackett's no great loss, but LT is.

Steve Smith has this enormous popularity in fantasy, for what amounts to one great season.  He is always hurt, has QB woes, and is rarely worth where he is drafted.

I like Steven Jackson, but this doesn't appreciably improve your team.

Wide receivers can be mined from the wire as int he past with Marques Colston, Brandon Marshall... there are a couple emerging stars every year.

LT is your cornerstone.  Don't sell him off in a 2 for 2 swap.
