"im just a teenager"

So I’m letting off some steam

Because today wasn’t the best it could be

I came home and tried to take it easy

I try to stand the pain

Doing my algebra like everything is okay

I tell myself I won’t drown

Standing up

And trying not to fall back down

I’m just a teenager

I don’t handle things all the right way

It’s like having a 100 bills due the next day

Video games and potato chips

It’s what I do

Don’t have a fit

I can’t help that I’m just a teenager

Life is rough

Relationships are tough

And was that love or lust

I’m sick of all the rumors

And passing notes

Plus chewing gum detentions

Give me a break

Being a teenager isn’t a piece of cake

The girls are mean

And the guys are worse

Laugh now

Because once you hit 13

You’re gonna be just like me

I’m just a teenager
