What do you think of time travel?

Sorry, my family and I were having a weird conversation about this after watching Somewhere In Time. Haha. Well, Dad had a big answer about alternative time-lines and stuff, Mom doesn't really have an idea. I always thought you couldn't change the past even if you traveled in time, because that would just cause things to happen as they already have, but to travel in the first place, past, present, and future must all be happening at the same time.

Well, I don't really think it's possible in the first place, but it got me curious to see what others think. Plus, I'm bored again. [=

  1. I love that movie Somewhere in Time about H. G. Wells's time machine. Wells traveling through time to catch Jack the Ripper was a fun movie to watch. I loved the romantic ending too.  I truly don't think it could ever happen because the past is over and the future hasn't happened yet. I used to wonder about traveling at the speed of light and coming back to Earth and everyone is older while you stay young.  I don't believe that will happen because we would disappear into dust. Just think the North star is a million light years away alone!  I am glad we can't change time because some good people would not be around.  Makes some fun Sci-fi stories and movies though.  I recommend Arthur C. Clark's "Childhood's End."   It is an old book that was controversial back in the late fifties and really fun to read. Clarkes books are fun sci-fi reading for intelligent people.
