  1. Go, you'll have loads of fun!!!

  2. You should go, i never been there but I do hope to travel to Italy and in Venice next year maybe.

  3. Go, have a blast and bring me a T-shirt! :D

  4. We went there a few years back.  If you're flying from the US, expect to be resting most of the first day because you'll be tired from traveling.  Allow about three or four days to really enjoy the place.

Take the ferry boat to the Lido.  It's a very nice trip and the views are spectacular.  Mid September is probably a good time to go.

Watch out for ripoffs when going to Murano.  They'll try to sell you overpriced glassware in the "factory" when you can get the same or better in local stores for much less money.

Also be aware that it can get pretty hot there until after Labor day.

If you're going all the way to Italy and have some time, I recommend taking the train and spending a few days in Sorrento or Capri.  Also check out Pompeii.  They're all fairly close to each other and make for a very relaxing and interesting time.

We had 10 days and went to Venice, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Naples, and Capri.  That's too much moving around.  No time to relax and enjoy yourself.  We were worn out from schlepping our stuff on and off the train.  Allow at least three nights in any place you stay.

Don't waste time in Naples.  It sucks there and the pickpockets are very active.

    I hope this helps.
