What do you think of when I mention Kingston, Jamaica?

I'm doing an art project that was inspired in a song. It mentions Kingston and I need a "universal" thing that refers to Kingston. Like how when you see Big Ben, you connect it to London immediately. Thanks!

  4. When i hear Kingston, I am almost brought to tears. It is my home city and the place i love MOST in the world (and i have been to LOADS of countries).  I think warm funny people, excitiment, music, jerk chicken, SUNSHINE!!, parties everywhere, relaxation.  When i hear kingston, i think "Jamaica, no problem man!!"

  6. A Rastafarian man selling coconuts and sugar-cane from a 'rasta-colored handcart'. The handcart would be a Red Yellow and green contraption being pushed through the middle of Half Way Tree. He MUST have a radio on the handcart since we can't live without music.

    Half Way Tree is the location of a clock that marks the line between uptown and downtown kingston metropolitan area (includes parishes of Kingston & St. Andrew).

  9. Kingston has this sculpture near Knutsford Blvd opposite the Pelican Hotel. That is the only landmark I can think of. You can see that on youtube when you search under Kingston.

    It was controversial initially but is accepted since.
