The phrase has more than one meaning, and more than one reference in pop culture.

So what do you think of when you hear it (or read it)?

  1. It actually gives someone a sense of lonliness. poor tree on a hill by itself.

  2. a tv show that jumped the shark in its second season

  3. It makes me think of the show that was on the WB/CW network, it had Chad Michael Murray in it. Never watched it, but I remember seeing previews for it.

  4. Being the huge One Tree Hill fan that I am, I immediately think of the show and its setting (the show takes place in this fictional town in NC called Tree Hill) and on the show they've had the phrase "There's only ONE Tree Hill. As in like, yeah. Haha. Also, it's supposed to be the address of Tree Hill high...One Tree Hill Drive, I think. Not too sure on that one.

It also makes me think of the U2 song (which the show was named after).

There is actually a One Tree Hill in New Zealand. It's like this one single tree on top of a hill heheh. Yeah. That's what it makes me think of.
