  1. Petrol....

    Explanation to those from mainland UK, and American's as well as anyone else who takes interest.

    The Republic of Ireland/Ireland/The South is where those who live close to the border in Northern Ireland/Ulster/The North (officially part of the UK [this view is not shared by all, even though times are certainly more peaceful]) go to get their petrol (petroleum/gas for American's) for cheaper than it is in Northern Ireland/Ulster/The North.

    If you lived in the north and grew up there while the IRA came and killed from the south  thousands of innocent people you might not want to move on so quickly. Its easy to make your comments from a foreign untouched country. No one in the north forgets which is what the question was about.
