Do you think we would go a little crazy? I don't think today's american society would handle it.

  1.    Please think of the era before the invention of electricity. People were living with other forms of light and other gadgets. The kings had their oppulant life in beautiful palaces. They had built forts, palaces. The invention of electricity paved path for industrial revolution. If electricity and petrol is not there, people will travel in bulluck carts again. But todays population is a big problem for a smooth life without electricity. Please note that our planet Earth too has a life span and the GREAT SUN too has a life span. Dont worry. Few men have the real brain to think and do something good to the world.  New inventions and discoveries will continue.

  2. Not the STONE age!

    Welcome back to Victorian England...

After we revamp our technology and mindset anyway.

Gas lighting, maybe we would start to READ again (before sundown anyway.)

Bring back the horse drawn carriage to the cities.

Lets not forget the total collapse of the economy.

Hydro powered factories built next to the river.

For those of us who were born 100 years too late it would be GREAT!

That is -- if we manage to survive the chaos, panic and pillaging.

    The way we are going...

It is not a matter of IF --

    It's a matter of WHEN!

  3. a little crazy? 90 percent of the population would die.  Massive riots, starvation, cannibalism, plague. "american society" would no longer exist. The world would devolve back to the 1600s, but that era could support only a tenth of the present population.
