now that the AKC decided that a poodle would be best for the Obama family?

Do you think they'll be seen as more manly or less manly? Or will everyone decide Obama is just a sissy?

Nope - My opinions on on both remain unchanged.

I've never had a problem with standard poodles - They were originally a hunting breed, and the French police and military both use them as working dogs. Say what you will about the French, their military are very professional and capable, and so are their police.

I'm not too fond of miniature poodles, but they're OK, I suppose. Just don't give them a silly haircut, please!

Toy poodles, I have never liked, and doubt I ever will - they're so small I'm afraid I might destroy one by accidentally stepping on it.

Well, if Obama gets a small little Toy Poodle then I think a lot of people are going to question his Manlyness. If he gets a Standard Poodle then, I would be more Convinced that he is actually a guy.

You do know this is just a Election thing that Obama is doing. He says "Oh, I know what to do! I will get a dog, and then all the dog lovers will vote for me!".

Its not because he likes dogs, its not because he thinks a dog would be good in his family, its because of the Election. I Guarentee you that if he wasn't running for Pres. Then, he wouldn't even consider getting a dog.

I am just surprised that Mcain hasn't tried to do something like Rescue a dog from a shelter. Now THAT would be good for votes.

Personally, I am a Republican, even though I am too young to vote ( 14 thank you very much ).

And dont give a Rats Rear about Obama ( me no like him ).

Not make much of a difference. I have seen road construction workers and truckers with chihuahua's and other small dogs.  Kind of cute seeing a big ol' tough looking guys with small dogs.  I love it.
