I received a thank you card from a friend. She wrote that I was "a dime a dozen and a great friend", and she said that she's always here for me. What do you think she meant by "dime a dozen"?

  1. I don't think she understands that term. A dime a dozen means your worth very little, can be replaced easily.   Don't be upset with her, she didn't know what she was writing. Take it as she meant to compliment you, then forget it.

  2. she probably didnt mean it, but a dime a dozen means you are easy to come by, and there is a lot of people like you.

  3. shes means your like 1 in a million

your a great friend to her. =]

  4. Like Super ★ said she probably didn't mean it but it means you're easy to come by. More than likely she meant to say you're a rare friend and just used the saying without knowing the meaning.

  5. I think she's confused by what that phrase means.  It means cheap and easy to obtain.

  6. She means that your a rare friend, and rare friends dont come along too often =)

  7. it means u r a rare friend.....like she could have picked a another great friend but she picked u!just break it down!lol!:)
