What do you think is the best car for a 16 year old? Being their first car?

what's the price range? my first car i wrecked the week after i got it... it was a mercury cougar. the accident wasn't even that bad, but it was totaled. Now i have a ford ranger- and it's a frickin' tank. I've been in 14 car accidents (big ones) and its still goin. gas mileage isnt that bad either.

Small and efficient.

Scions are garbage for the most part....they are shunned as phony toyotas.....

Get either a corolla, civic, or focus.....

They are reliable, safe and fuel efficient.....

The focus is the most popular car in europe....by the way...and one of the most reliable...

Kia rio. Thats the one that I want. It gets like 35 mpg. In my area my dad found won for $5,555. And for about $80 a month.

If new something cheap like toyato carolla ...if used toyota as well maybe something for 4-6 grand ? ?

If you can find a good used one, get a Honda Civic. They're built to last.  

Otherwise a Chevy Cavalier.  I bought a 2 year old Cavalier and it lasted me over 6 years without any major mechanical problems.

Whatever you get just make sure to take care of it and get regularly scheduled maintenance checks.

I would say an SUV. Hold space, good airbags and miles. That's what I have. Really Nice. I have a Chevy Tahoe the new one that just came out this year.

humvee so that even if you hit other cars youll be alright and the other gets more damage. or if you get into a gun fight you'll be safe inside youre car since its bullet proof.^_^

Try to find out their favroite car color if they want a car with a certain color.

Ask them casually what kind of cars are cool?

Try going for a small two-door car. Not any longer then the Camery. If its a girl we get turned off by the old-looking "square" cars that are wide, four-doored, and long. Lol

Go to Carmax.com and look up cars in your area. They are in really good condition. My 17-yr-old cousin bought one by going online and finding a store in her area with the car she wanted. She got a Black Scion Tc for like 12,000 i think. It works good.

Okay, i would have to say a Toyota because they have great crash test ratingss and have a amazing gas milage, we drove to st.louis and we got 35 miles to the gallon and also prius's get 45 to the gallon so those are two good ones to look into.

good old american clunker with air bags and a big bumper! try a chevy cavalier that served me well for awhile and was my first car. insurance was pretty cheap on it too (considering you're a new driver its gonna be high for awhile)
