What do you think the devil looks like?

Do you think he is hot or ugly? (i know he's evil...so don't lecture me)

Describe what you think he looks like.

I mean he was formerly an angel so he's not red with horns (obviously). also, do angels have races like us?

ok they look like red mans with 2 horns on his head. a spiked tail with a large pair of wings(bat-like). it has abs and have a ghoulish looking face. scarry eh...

Mythologically the devil can appear either as ugly, in which case he's REAL ugly, or beautiful, in which case he (or she, sometimes, demons could take either gender as it suited them) is unbelievably beautiful.  They used to call the good looking one the White Devil.  The message is that evil can be either obvious, or it can be seductive, and you must be on the watch for either.

I think that the general picture that people have when they think of the devil is a red guy, with horns, and a pitch-fork. However, I believe that the devil looks like what ever you think he looks like. It's like how people think that "classic" god it the old guy with a white, flowing robe, and a beard. The images that you have for them seem to be manifestations people's minds create from what's told about them.

God's supposed to have created everything, and be a higher power. So, he's associated with being old (because the elderly are supposed to be "wise"). The devil's that same way, people take what they've heard about him, and create a mental picture. I don't think it's ever mentioned in the bible what they're actually supposed to look like? I wouldn't know... I'm athiest. =P

I never gave much thought as to what he looks like... I suppose I see him as a regular guy. Because, he's supposed to be able to corrupt people, you know? But, if I saw some random red guy with horns and a pitchfork coming towards me, I'd run. I suppose "evil" doesn't always have to be obvious.

And, again, angels probably look like what ever you want them to.

Jesus (who was actually a person, regardless of whether or not he was the son of god), just judging by where and when he was born, he would NOT be a white guy, with blue eyes and brown hair. He would have a darker skin colour, yet he's always represent otherwise. =P

There are many different religions in the world. Some believe in Satan, Lucifer, Beelzebub etc., but most of them do not. The Christian religion is one who teaches us that there is a Devil, and tells us who and what he was before turning into the most hated supernatural entity.

In my 67 years here on earth I have found that the only subject I need to fear is a God forsaken & mean spirited human being. If there is indeed a Devil, then he has a lot of competition from contemptible humans.

Besides what I was told in Bible school, angles are spirits and have no skin. Therefore no different skin colorations either. I also was told that they could take on body like features (with skin) if needed. So you figure out how they would possibly look like. Otherwise leave it in God's hands:-)

Satan is nothing but a force and the nature of man.

(Angels do not have a race. they aren't humans hence they cant be from asian or african descent. They are spiritual beings or elementals which only certain people can see. What they actually look like i don't know...since i haven't seen one. i THINK with angels they look like what type of angel they are, for example say an angel of war lets say (this isn't necessarily christianity related) would be dressed in very heroic clothing, armed with a spear and possibly dark hair getting blown by wind, whereas an angel of love would be in all white, pale skin and golden hair. If you want to know more about angels and other elementals then read some of Doreen Virtue's books. She's a psychic and an expert with working with angelic realms, you realize angels aren't only christian. its interesting.)

Personal description of a devil:

-handsome, you can't entice people when you are ugly...

-fair skin(if he takes physical form)

-He has wings(angels do have wings)

-charming eyes

-enticing lips

Angels are not races, they are not humans, they are spiritual beings. They have no body unless incarnated or given physical form. When we die we only turrn into spirits, but not angels.

The red, horned beast would just be an image created by the church to make people want to do good.

1) I am an atheist, but I used to be a Christian, so....

2) The Devil looks like everybody. We're it. We're him. Whenever someone takes advantage of someone else's weakness, or acts without regard of the consequences for another, or generally acts beastly, there we see the face of the Devil.

3) Given this, I'd say that the symbolic face of the Devil would look a little bit like a primitive version of a human. Like a diabolical chimpanzee.

4) However, on the assumption that the Devil is an actual person, namely an angel who was banished for serving his own ego instead of God's, he probably has no form.
