I am one who probably just acts like it and I would say anyone that likes a driver because of who their dad was and any that throw beer on the track are the ones that just act like it and arent really.

What is you definition?

  1. True fan has always been a fan..They remember the wins.Like Micheal waltrip winng the daytona 500...They don,t bash a driver because they have had a couple bad seasons..(dale jr.)They know that it takes alot to win...Good cars, good crew, and good driving..True fans remember when nascar was stock car racing and not spec car racing.True fans have a specfic driver and don,t jump the bandwagon every year...Their favorite driver maybe gone or retired.Mine is the King 43..He will always be my favorite...

  2. You're not a true fan???

Would've never figured that one out.....

  3. Well for me I thank that if your a true Nascar friend you get drunk in a salute to your favorite driver..You got his sticker on the back of your truck and its the only thing not covered by mud. You watch all the races, and go to the ones that you can.  One who knows his favorite drivers stat's, and knows his history. One who maybe never met him but would stand up in a fight, one who has gotten in a fight over someone that said somethin bad about him.....

    Thats my definition....

    whatcha thank?

    n who ya fav driver?

  4. Someone who truely watches the races.--Someone who has their favorite Drivers--BUT doesnt turn the Race off when their driver has a DNF. A true Nascar Fan doesnt Say the Other 42 Race Drivers SUCK. And if their driver loses they dont get mad because someone ELSE beat them. They dont throw beer and they like drivers for a better reason that what happened in 2001

The fake fans they hate every driver but theres and cuss at you for no reason just because you m,ight not like their favorite

  5. A true NASCAR fan will take their vaction time to go to a race "gas prices be damned" (quoted from Daytona's paper last weekend). A true NASCAR fan will set in the July Florida sun for 6 hours before the pre-race activities even begin. A true NASCAR fan gets to the race track several hours (if not days) before the race begins because we know where to park. A true NASCAR fan will purchase other merchandise from their favorite drivers sponser, just because it's from their favorite drivers sponser.

A true NASCAR fan names their pets after their favorite driver, sponser, track, city, etc. A true NASCAR fan will stay during the rain, sleet, snow, h**l, wind, or sun just for that chance that the race will be ran or finished. A true NASCAR fan remembers the driver that bumps their driver the week before.

A true NASCAR fan braves the 30* temp in the morings & the 80* in the afternoon at the racetrack & enjoys it. A true NASCAR fan wears their favorite drivers apperal on raceday, either at the track or at home. A true NASCAR fan is able to admit that their driver can make mistakes.

FAKE fans go to races, spend 1 maybe 2 hours & leave. They dress for apperances only & not to show pride for a driver(ladies in heels & makeup in July in Florida at a racetrack in the stands in the sun.........you get the picture). They stay on their cell phones the entire race even though they can't possibly be having a conversation during the race. They can't see that their driver could make a mistake, & it's always another drivers fault. They think the sole purpose of going to or watching a race is to get drunk & see a crash (go to a bar or dimenalition durby).

  6. In my opinion a true Nascar fan is one who picks a favorite driver and sticks with him until the day he retires. Even if he misses the Chase one year, even if he goes a year with out winning a race, or even leaves the team he has been on since the day he started. A true Nascar fan would stick with that driver through the thick and the thin. The good and the bad. A Nascar fan who just acted like a Nascar fan in my opinion would not do any of that.

  7. True fan: watches the races, sticks to their driver/drivers don't bash other drivers.

Fake: the only perfect example I can give, is well,...............you.

  8. True fan: follows the sport/ driver with passion, watches MOST of the race, keeps track of stats, etc.. will fight in a bar over their driver's good name.. jk!

Fake fan: Ones who go on youtube and all they do is look for wrecks, hope the big one comes at each restrictor plate race, the list goes on and on.

Edit: a fake fan won't know what number Ward Burton has...he doesn't drive! Exactly.

  9. A real fan would be some one like me who cant stand missing a race, keeps up with all the news, always looking for something to watch on the tv or on the internet.

  10. i make racing sounds in the supermarket with my cart.

i draft going down the freeway.

i never miss practice, qulay or the race.

    trucks,nationwide,cup,irl,f1 and australian v8s,etc..

i warm my tires in traffic.

if you get anywhere near me, ill put you in the wall.

  11. You're willing to sit through the race. You spout all sorts of info ab out it, even when no one cares. You've been to the musuem in Darlington. You've been around a track (like, in a motor vehicle). I coulda gone around in a old nascar stock car, but it rained just a little too much.

  12. Knowledge...

  13. real ones know everything about the drivers like me and the ones who fake it dont

  14. True Nascar fans are people who like drivers that like women like Dale Jr. , Tony Stewart. Fake Nascar fans are fans that like g*y drivers like Jeff Gordon.

  15. A true Nascar fans is one who:

    1) love the sport for the racing not for the soap opera drama

    2) Respects the death of Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and does not trash his name.

    3)  They know what drivers they like, however are open to liking other drivers.

    4)  Are not adamantly obsessed with bashing or hating.  Unless the circumstances are dire for that.

    5)  Respects other fans opinions of drivers.
