  1. There is NO lawful punishment of Apostasy in Islam.

    Please see the answer here:

  2. The Hadd (punishment) for Apostasy is Death in Islaam.

This hadith, “whoever changes his religion kill him”, is narrated by Bukhari 2794 and 6311, Tirmidhi 1378, Annasa`i 3991, 3992 and 97, Abu Dawud 3787, Ibn Majah 2526, Almusnad from imam Ahmad 1775 (musnad Bani Hashim) and 21007 (musnad Alansaar).

  3. Your question may be answered by the following points:

    (1) This is the ruling of Allaah and His Messenger, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Whoever changes his religion, kill him." (reported by al-Bukhaari, al-Fath, no. 3017).

    (2) The one who has known the religion which Allaah revealed, entered it and practised it, then rejected it, despised it and left it, is a person who does not deserve to live on the earth of Allaah and eat from the provision of Allaah.

By leaving Islaam, the apostate opens the way for everyone who wants to leave the faith, thus spreading apostasy and encouraging it.

    (4) The apostate is not to be killed without warning. Even though his crime is so great, he is given a last chance, a respite of three days in which to repent. If he repents, he will be left alone; if he does not repent, then he will be killed.

    (5) If the punishment for murder and espionage (also known as high treason) is death, then what should be the punishment for the one who disbelieves in the Lord of mankind and despises and rejects His religion? Is espionage or shedding blood worse than leaving the religion of the Lord of mankind and rejecting it?

    (6) None of those who bleat about personal freedom and freedom of belief would put up with a neighbour’s child hitting their child or justify this as "personal freedom," so how can they justify leaving the true religion and rejecting the sharee’ah which Allaah revealed to teach mankind about His unity and bring justice and fairness to all?

  4. Allah has written all the laws in Quran, and Torah to be followed. When people make the laws, they are always faulty and some one always get too much punishment or punishment is not deterrant enough.  Torah should have punishment for Apostates unless Jews

deleted have deleted those laws  out of Torah.

Allah has mentioned in Quran in Surah Bani-Israeli how He had the Jews punished by death who made a calf and started worshipping it during 40 days when Moses went on Mount Sinai to be with God.

God sent Moses to Egypt and got Jews freed from bondage of Pharoah of Egypt. He saved them by opening passage in sea to cross it, when Pharoah and his army was following  to kill them all. God fed them in desert by sending food from skies.  When they reached Mount Sinai, Allah  commanded Moses to go on the top of mountain to spend 40 days with Him.. There Allah had him fast 40 days for spiritual strength and gave him ten commandments for Jews to obey.. During his last days on mountain Allah told him that your people has made a calf idol and worshipping it and have abondoned their  belief in Allah and worshipping to Allah.

Allah commanded Moses to have chiefs of all tribes to execute people of their own tribes  and if y refuse to execute the guilty, God  shall

destroy them all.  When they left Egypt, total Jews were 600,000.

60,000  of them were executed that day for becoming apostates from the belief in God and worshipping calf god.  Jews never talk about this part of their history.  Later when they went further on the way to the promised land, Allah commanded through Moses to fight with the local people and take over the land and settle here. Many of the jews refused to fight and said to Moses, you and your God go and fight we didn't come here to die.  Allah turned their faces as monkeys and swans.  They remained wandering in wilderness for 40 years untill their next generation grew up and then Allah guided them to the way to promised land.

Now it is upto you if you make your own laws or  follow the laws God gave us. USA  has heavy burden of taxes for not executing the

murderers and keep feeding and protecting them in prison all their lives.  They have no fear of death and keep murdering more people within the prisons, keep importing drugs and operate a criminal

world within the prisons of USA.  Out in the country those who work hard are loosing their homes and starve once they run out of unemployment benefits, but criminals and murderers have enough to eat, cloth and a bed to sleep with warm blankets with no worries of paying their bills.

Be informed that those who will not receive the punishment of their crimes that God has written in His revelations, they will get those punishments on the day of Judment and may be several times more severely.  God is most Merciful, most compassionate for those who believe in Him and worship and obey Him, but He is also very hard for those who refuse to obey God  and disregard Laws He gave to mankind through His Messengers and His Divine Revelations.

  5. hellfire is their punishment:

"Lo! those who distort Our revelations are not hid from Us. Is he who is hurled into the Fire better, or he who cometh secure on the Day of Resurrection? Do what ye will. Lo! He is Seer of what ye do" (41:40)

  6. No punishment in the Quran is mentioned for apostacy

    Unless you're asking some wahabbis.

@ Abu hariith : whatever happened to : no compulsion in religion :? where shud we throw that crucial verse (from the Quran itslef no less) out then ? You bloodthirsty religious people never ceases to amaze me.

Just what is your point in being a muslim , pray do tell?

  7. According to God, a person has been given the free will to choose life or death.

    Deuteronomy 30:19

This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live

According to Muhammed, the death penalty,

    Bukhari

    Volume 4, Book 52, Number 260:

Narrated Ikrima: Ali burnt some people and this news reached Ibn 'Abbas, who said, "Had I been in his place I would not have burnt them, as the Prophet said, 'Don't punish (anybody) with Allah's Punishment.' No doubt, I would have killed them, for the Prophet said, 'If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.' "

  8. The Holy Quran states:

They will not stop fighting you until they turn you back from your faith, if they can. The works of those from among you who turn back from their faith and die in a state of disbelief shall be vain in this world and the next. These are the inmates of the fire, therin shall they abide. (2. 218)

This means that whoever, out of fear of the sword (or the pain of punishment), decides to abjure Islam has a fundamental right to do so but no one else has the right to declare him to be an apostate. The right to declare himself to bean apostate lies only with him. Nowhere in the Holy Quran has this right been granted to others. That is to say, one is free to renounce one’s own religion but has no right to impose renunciation of religion on others. According to Islamic teachings, an apostate, therefore, cannot be manufactured by religious scholars or the clergy or any non-tolerant individual or government.

The Holy Quran also states: ‘Surely, those who have turned away after guidance has been made manifest to them have been deceived by Satan who has beguiled them with false hopes.’ (47.26)

    @to the advocates of murders:

The Hadith you are quoting have been challenged by scholars. Just think who were the narrators, Ikramah and Ibn e Abbas. Scholars are agreed that All traditions beginning with the name of Ibn Abbas must be properly judged and examined.

    These hadith are contradicted with:

    1. atleast 50 ayah of Quran

    2. Practice of Holy Prophet (peace and blesings of Allah be upon him)
