The church should only have a financial role for a candidate. Your religion plays a big part in whether your elected or not.

Politics and religion should be kept separate. Period.

There should be no role for any church in government.  Mixing religion and government is just asking for trouble, because it would violate the principles of religious neutrality implicit in the Constitution.
