Star-Crossed Lovers? An Old Married couple? Human Sacrifices buried alive in an ancient burial ground?

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, here is the article from Yahoo!...

Just wondering what the rest of the world thinks...

Best Wishes...

  1. I think it's amazing.  I believe the evidence suggests they were young because of their teeth and skull features.  I think either they knew they were going to die, or they were asleep when whatever killed them occurred.  Human sacrifice is quite possible.  If you are familiar with Vonnegut, they were a "durass."

  2. It is difficult to tell the cause of death, or who they were. However, it was obvious that they clung to each other in death  as in life.  Whoever they may have been, they were determined to die together. Personally, I believe that the public leans toward the whole "Romeo and Juliet' speculation for romantic reasons. It also lessens the grim possiblitiy of a gruesome death  either by earthquake or sacrificial ritual.

There is, of course, the idea that they were a married couple whose family buried them together out of love and respect. It's romantic, but far more mundane than the whole "star crossed idea"  It was found that nearly all primitive tribes of Ice Age Europe buried their dead in funeral rituals.

  3. I think that they were lovers that decided to end their life together .

  4. I don't know how they died, but the burial seems sweet. However, I do have a problem with the fact that the media held off on publishing this story until the week or so before Valentine's Day.

  5. im not sure I think mabey they were killed. whatever it is i think its sad.
