  2. Wow, tough question.  Really depends upon the swell direction and size.  A lot of the "spots" on the east coast are only temporary since they are pretty much shifting sand bars.

In no particular order based upon either surfing there myself or by reputation:

    Sebastien Inlet

    Hatteras lighthouse

    Frisco

    Manasquan

Pea Island (okay so that really like 15 miles of breaks, but you never know where it will be working)

    Ramp 23

    Reef Road

    Washout

    Montauk

  3. I live in the Charleston area as well and the best east coast spots that I have been to are Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina, Cocoa Beach in Florida, and Sebastian Inlet in Florida.  Folly is comparable on a good day but doesn't have the consistency.  IOP holds up real well when hurricane swells come through but the rest of the time, it is weak.

  4. S Turns, Haterras Light, Old coastguard station all on haterass island. Iron steamer Atlantic beach, wrightsville beach, sebastians inlet, I hear dirty jers is good but never been there. all over florida in the winter. this weekend ocean isle beach is the place to be!!!!
